Again, they were coming off the bench to celebrate the win, and the fracas was IN FRONT OF RPI"S BENCH. Not only was it said by us multiple times, it was also said by ADK11 and Wholin1, two of the most respected Union posters by RPI fans, and by others who are fans of neither team. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing.

Yes, and it's pretty clear, once again, the refs let this crap escalate throughout the entire game and last night is the result. It happens every time these two teams play. ECAC refs need to be consistent thru the entire game. They can't make a call when they feel like its time to make a call.

Seth Apert is a joke as a coach and couldnt teach a dov go sg## on a newspaper. RPI eill always bd a crap program with him around. outside the bs spin all you have is losses.

Union has the right guy, RPI does not

FYI, the Denver AD is still laughing ablut his name being "citculated" as a coaching canidate. never was on their prelim top 20 list.

You would defend that behavior of Mr. Bennett. You should take the same anger management class that Mr. Bennett should take.

It was a tough loss for Union and a hard fought win for RPI that was a much needed one. It's a shame the game will be talked about just for the post-game scene as it was a well played game by both teams. It just goes to show that the capital district is becoming a tough place to come into as a opposing team and escape with points. Best of luck to Union and its fanbase the rest of the way.

#1 code between team mates is to protect their own. Video clearly shows it. No comprehension needed.

I find it ironic that you continuously defend SA on the RPI thread, yet here you are attempting to degrade Coach Bennett. Are you sure this isn't the frustration that you've been feeling with SA finally coming out?? I interpret this as you wanting Coach Bennett behind RPI's bench!!:D:eek:

#1 code between Schenectadopes is to look like victims when a team you don't like beats you. Posts clearly show it. Lack of comprehension on the part of the "victims" required.

Nobody is crying victim. We know the facts. All I was stating is RPI clearly started fighting as they left the bench and the coaches did absolutely nothing to stop it. Says a lot! Union will get through this....and come out stronger....MARK MY WORDS!

Appert going onto the ice beckoning his players to return to the bench area, and then Bennett going out to give him a cheap shot isn't doing something to stop it? I'd say you're crying victim. You lost, take it like a man.

As a Union alum and dedicated fan I have to say that I am very bummed out about the way things unfolded yesterday. I know the haters will remain the haters, nothing will ever change that, but I am most upset by what detracted from what should otherwise have been a landmark night for local college hockey. Over 7000 fans turned out for a nonconference rivalry game and that and the contest should have been the story. The good I guess if there is any is that no one was hurt, punishment will be swift and sure and the sun will rise again tomorrow. I never played hockey but I've followed it enough to know that sometimes emotions get the best of those involved, not an excuse just an observation. Maybe all involved can learn something from this and move on.

exactly. let RPI and their club program have their non conference win and go lose

Union should put it in the memory bank to call on vs the real programs out there, rally around their great coach and move on
