I'm content with being the underdog. It's also not surprising considering we are up against some of the most storied hockey programs in NCAA history.

based on consistent play alone, union is not the underdog. and considering what happened last year, bc should be ready. really is a toss up IMO.

It has nothing to do with being the underdog or overdog...

Has to do with balancing the book. They want half on one, half on the other, all about no risk, keeping the Vig

The guy might feel 100% sure Union wins but also realizes BC has more backers

Vig, Vig, Vig. Nothing else in Vegas or AC matters

Actually the USCHO administrators have been doing a good job keeping the threads fairly clean. If you see something flag it with the little triangle on the left at the bottom of the post.

I agree, just saying those odds have us pegged as the underdog. Like Bodie said in the conference call, there are 4 great teams left and this should be a great frozen four. Did anybody else receive an email about Messa rink hosting the Thursday game on a huge 23X13ft screen?

I agree, in theory, but after having worked in Vegas sports-books for six years, I can say that there is always a team in every set of odds that the book is rooting for to win...Look at this year's Super Bowl...When Seattle won and the game total went over, the din of champagne corks popping was heard in every sports-book back room in Vegas...

No matter how hard any of these off-shore sports-books work the prices to attract "even" wagering, come game time, the bookies will have teams they will be rooting for...

PS, I haven't seen any of the Vegas books put up prices for the Frozen Four, just off-shore sports-books...The main reason for this is that most of the line makers in Vegas don't know **** about college hockey, so they won't risk the potential loss...

PPS, Sports gambling is illegal in AC casinos...This isn't the case, however, in the alley between the casinos... ;)

There will not be enough money bet on this to make a bit of difference, Hell, NHL wagering is hardly a blip on the sports book radar.

I got it, too. Kudos to the school for putting this on, but if I wasn't going to Philly already, I think I'd prefer the comfort of my couch and 50" HD plasma. :D

I hate this week off in between the regionals and FF. I would've rather been in Philly yesterday. Did the NC$$ really move this so as to not conflict with the bouncyball stuff?

Future Union star Cole Maier to join BCHL's Nanaimo Clippers , fellow Union recruit Brendan Taylor also plays for Nanaimo, both scheduled to join Union in 2015.

Just got permission from the better half to make a day trip down to the games on Thursday. Where is the Union pre-game? Really debating about grabbing a seat now rather than saving a few bucks by going the last minute street seller route( with it's inherent risks) I will be rooting Union all the way and hope they can make it a repeat for the ECAC!
