2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat? (Part II)

Re: 2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat? (Part II)

Yeah, that was pretty bad. Third straight subpar effort. It might have been unrealistic to expect the team to overcome the week they had and the absent players and their coach, but it really did not look like the usual effort was there. Every season brings a rough patch, they need to work through it. Let's not overlook Daniel Carr's milestone achievement. Congratulations to Daniel.

Re: 2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat? (Part II)

We only had 3 shots on goal in the 3rd period. Stevens keep us in it. This is our third 1-2 loss. I think that "patch" started after N.H.

Congrats to Daniel Carr on the milestone! I remember watching him play his freshman year and I could see he had a bright future. What a player for our program.

We need to play better tomorrow night, hopefully Eli and the other Daniel produce a spark.

I can't believe I forgot that in the initial recap. I can't even begin to try and remember how many goals he's scored that were similar to tonight's goal over his career, so it was a fitting play to get the record on. Knowing how team-oriented Danny is I'm sure he'd trade the record in for a win though.

I will amend my initial prediction for the weekend....I feel like if we leave the North Country with two points we should feel rather fortunate...I watched the feed on my computer...Good HD, poor sound, I love the PIP with the scoreboard and clock...I have a dinosaur of a laptop, so my view of the feed had a lot of choppiness and lag, but even with that it was clear that the play seemed to be in our end a LOT.....Hats off the SLU for the huge win...I'm glad we only dropped to 6th (so far) in the PairWise, but the ship needs to be righted...Oh Well...

Re: 2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat? (Part II)

Team looked totally out of synch tonight. Passing was not crisp and no jam in the offensive zone. Another game giving up more than 30 shots and a lot of open ice and "matador" defense. I'd like to think this was mostly because of the missing players, but it was very similar to how they looked against Harvard & "you know who" last weekend. I do think that Bodie missing is a big loss, as he adds a lot offensively and on the PP. SLU definitely played a spirited game and deserved the result, but I thought U should have been able to take advantage of their d-men a little more. Hopefully having Eli & Champ back tomorrow night will help, but will need a much different work ethic or this will be a lost weekend.

Congrats to Carr, richly deserved, there isn't a kid on the team that works harder. Also wasn't sure if Ikkala returned after getting hit with a shot in the 3rd period.. he looked to be in a lot of pain.

I remember Carr scoring the winning goal against Harvard in Atlantic City two years ago. A real "cornerstone" to the foundation of our success these past 3 years. Congratulations Daniel Carr !!!

Maybe my nephew who attends Union was correct. He told me the other day he heard half the team was ****ed at the "C", who started everything last weekend at the end of the Mayor's Cup, for being a p u $ $ y since he wouldn't fight the kid from RPI at center ice.

One of the nice features of vBulletin is that you can left click on the poster, in this case Stay@homeDad, and then click on "View Forum Posts" and see all of his past posts on the RPI thread. USCHO is using Version 4.2.2. (Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.2)

And what is your point, Chris Matthews?

Like Flagdude08 said, what's your point?

Now that Eli & Ciampini are eligible to return, I'm hoping we can see the same lines back together tonight. I don't suppose Dumais would re-pair Ghost & Taylor, would he?

OK, was your nephew in the locker room? I'm guessing not...What a shocker that someone from the RPI thread comes over here with the "inside scoop" at what goes on in the UC locker room...

You yourself, posted items in your thread regarding how no one really knows how SA deals with players issues in the RPI locker room... Here, I'll refresh your memory:

"Perhaps OGC does his discipline in the locker room. Who are we to say that the aforementioned forward was not held accountable? Also do you really think it doesn't bother him knowing it may have been his mistake that cost them the game? I know for myself, when playing any sport, if i did something in a game that had an effect on the out come it ate me up inside.

Obviously it is clear there is something going on behind the scenes that we spectacular fans do not know. Whether it is between players or the players and coaches who cares. Let's just hope they get it straighten out and start playing hockey the way we think they are capable."

So, the good dirt in the RPI locker room is unknown to the RPI board but yet your nephew has the Batphone to Messa???

We played poorly on Friday as well as RPI did...Both squads were hurt by the fracas last weekend...

This original post of yours is clearly lacking the directive from the board admins...

Troll your inflammatory comments somewhere else, please....

I would guess no because Vasaturo should be paired with a "speedy defenseman." (I'm not knocking Vasaturo's speed, just saying he's more of a grinder type.)

Reports Martin and DiPauli in, Ponts and Krug out, no Eli

Martin and DiPauli have not had much of a chance to play this year. Opportunity for them to show what they can do.
