2013-2014 D1 Commitments

Re: 2013-2014 D1 Commitments

committing to college early is really smart. 8th graders will be next...

one thing to 'verbally' commit...it's another to get into the school...especially Harvard..

Do you list CIS recruits anywhere? Do any US students play college hockey in Canada?

Re: 2013-2014 D1 Commitments

Twitter feeds are congratulating Minnetonka High School junior Laura Bowman for committing to Penn State. Amy Petersen, another Minnetonka junior and Bowman's linemate, committed to Penn State earlier this year. Together, Bowman and Petersen won a state high school championship with Minnetonka this past season.

You CAN'T be serious!! Americans going to Canada? for hockey...and and education? What are the chances of that, besides slim and none?

No, we just let them all come here and to add in$ult to injury, then we pay for it all. What a bunch of woozeles we all are.

No maybe not many athletes go to Canada but I know the Canadian universities train a lot of MDS ( yes americans) to go the states to add insult to injury as you would say.

MDS? do you mean MD's? If so....probs not as many as Greneda!

ok genius...what exactly is MDS? Maybe Canadian for Multi Dysfunctional Simpleton? Is that what they teach you in the great white north, eh? Have another donut, Bobby MacKenzie, ya hoser.

From Merriam-webster site

MD
abbr or noun \ˌem-ˈdē\
Definition of MD
1
[Latin medicinae doctor] : an earned academic degree conferring the rank and title of doctor of medicine
2
: a person who has a doctor of medicine

Therefore If one wanted to make it plural you add the s. BTW harvard's medical faculty is quite happy to use the term MD online. Need I say more ?

You certainly sound like a person of solid character crosschecker.

Likely, it was the capitalization of the 's' that caused the confusion. Thanks for clarifying.

Re: 2013-2014 D1 Commitments

Exactly. "MDS" is incorrect. If you wanted to say "Doctors" then say so...even "MDs" would be fine. But to your original premise...it's bunk!
