Re: 2013-14 Season Rosters

That is really cool to hear. Mitch was probably the most skilled player I ever saw in a Geneseo uniform. Like a lot of skilled players it seemed sometimes like he was playing the game at a different speed than everybody else, or could almost slow time down to do more things in the same amount of time as everybody else. I remember one season he scored some ungodly number of shorthanded goals and led the country in that stat by a good margin. It's great that he will be back behind the bench in Geneseo.

Agreed on him being best Geneseo player in past decade. I am definitely excited to see what impact he can have on the team. Sometimes the better the player the worse they are as a coach if their advice is "do it like me" when that probably isn't possible for 99% of players to come through the program. Hopefully, he has some good input from his days playing at Geneseo and professionally. Can't wait for Friday!

Thanks you for the very kind words. Yes, coming out the week before Thanksgiving to catch a few games and then the Skidmore tourney. I'll get to 5 games all together. Maybe another trip in Feb. Looking forward to a good year.

Are you making any trips to the games this year? Was sad to see him leave. I know we appreciated what he did in the short time at Plattsburgh. His work ethic will be a true fan favorite. Deffently looking forward to making the 40 mile drive to the Domes to see him play a few times this year. Glad he got another shot and Elmira is getting a pretty good piece to a much needed puzzle.

3 freshman goalies join Chimienti on the roster...four keepers total...wow! Chimienti didn't get much time last year (2 starts?)...not sure how "proven" he is considered or if this was his job to lose. Any word on who Taylor may be looking to as the starter?
looks like they r in the same boat as Oswego:eek:

Fixed both posts to be consistent with Hobart's webpage.

I refuse to call freshmen "first year" its stupid and seeing as how there no girls on the team, its freshmen.

But anyway, it will be interesting to see if Hobart goes with the 33. Hard to believe that they will but you never know. I have heard good things about the 3 incoming goalies and Chimienti played well in the 2 games he did play. They have a relatively young team similar to 11-12 with just 4 seniors and with the exception of the goalies so they will interesting to watch to say the least.

Re: 2013-14 Season Rosters

Is 30 some odd on a roster too many? Some other team(s) may have benefited from those extra players. In any event, they'll get them either in January or next season.
