Can someone please give the QU radio guys the Yale media guide with the correct pronunciation of the Yale players names. They were worse than Barry Melrose ;)

That was a fill in play by play guy. The normal guy was on the TV call of the game.

Repeat after me there is no D' before Agostino. It seemed to be the Italian names that they had the most trouble with, including Ruffalo and Dichiara. :0

I am going to stop up and see the team first hand on Friday, just bought a ticket and there are only scattered single seats and no SRO left. As an aside from our previous discussion about attendance, I found the quote from a Quinnipiac official about the difference in maximum attendance being lower at the Yale game, because "we have a different Fire Marshal" to be interesting. Have they actually lowered the official number of standing room spots at the rink?

It would seem that way, if only because in previous years they had 4,400 people in the Bank for the Yale game, and this year listed only 3,600, or so. That's not because of less interest, they must have cut down on the amount of people allowed in the building.

Being a CT State certified Fire Marshal myself, I find that to be a very large difference in allowed standing room. The school will be losing five t six figures a year with 600 less folks at the sellouts. The good part is that it will be more comfortable for the standees, and safer for all.

Thought I'd give an update on last year's seniors:
Langlois (Evansville, ECHL) 3A, 1 G, 2 GP Recently sent down from AHL Hartford where he had no points in 3 GP
Barron (Evansville, ECHL) 1A, 6GP
Currie (South Carolina, ECHL) 1GP
Davies (Alaska, ECHL) 2G, 1A, 4GP
Hartzell (Wheeling, ECHL) 0-2-1, 2.95 GAA, .907 SV%
Dalhuisen (Bridgeport, AHL) Just got pulled up from Stockton where he had 3G, 2A, 7 GP and averaged 4.6 Penalty Minutes a game hahaha

Bill was doing the TV broadcast yes but even then I live in a bilingual country and hearing Langlois name pronounced LangLoys
took some getting used to. North of the 49th his name would be pronounced Langwah. :D

Awesome picture. Who says Quinnipiac doesn't have school spirit?

There was an even better picture taken last season during the Yale game during a faceoff in that end -- all you see is gold, except for the blue Yale players. It's incredible.

Personally not a huge fan of Buccigross, but glad he's writing about QU no matter what I think of him.

Sorry folks... been locked out of USCHO since Monday. Somehow my account got deactivated and the reactivation emails never came through. Not sure which side is at fault but it doesn't matter now... I'm back. Three days of not being able to post about killed me! ;)

Crazy Canucks... :rolleyes: ;) I recall the proper pronunciation as Lang-loy.

Same with me.....3 requests to reset my password....all three gave me an "E:mail sent" yet not 1 made it to me. Then I try another log-on and it works again.

Langlois can pronounce it SMITH if he wants. Look at Toews....where do they get TAYS outta that?! :D
