You get a lot of love for that weak strength of schedule.
Beating Lowell twice, Cornell on the road and tying Yale at home is not a soft schedule.

Simply put, he is trying too hard. He needs to lighten up a bit and go with the flow. An unusual giveaway for sure, but this game wasn't lost on that play.Matt Peca of all people gives it away on the winning goal.
Pathetic? Brutal? C'mon now. Sure, there were some glaring errors and breakdowns, but that's to be expected with such a young d-corp. Reid Cashman said in the post-game that the energy level was there, but poor puck management cost them the game. He also said he feels they'll be better off as a result and I agree. What a pathetic effort tonight on defense. just a brutal defensive effort in that 3rd period with numerous turnovers.
If we needed to put up a stinker, I'd rather it be tonight. And some good does come from it... the pressure of the unbeaten streak is off. The key is how they respond. This is a killer loss and 2 points wasted away against a terrible Princeton team.

Kudos need to be given to Princeton as well. They were a much different team tonight than they were last night. They were hungry and aggressive and never quit even when we were dominating.
It's only one loss and not the end of the world. A quick turnaround for Wednesday's matchup with the Friars. I truly think you'll see a different, and better, Bobcats team.
A bad loss for sure, but it's only the 2nd of an otherwise great season thus far. That's the problem with unbeaten streaks... the losses always sting more. In my opinion, we'll be better off because of it.Completely unacceptable loss in my opinion.
Saw him and Tolks walking around (Tolks looked to be walking just fine). I wonder if Smith is injured? He didn't play last night either...Also Derek Smith didn't pay tonight.
Well said Z. We all need to keep things in perspective here.By the way, after almost two months of hockey, this is just their second loss of the year. Again, let's not go crazy tonight.
Maybe we need to start the "fire Rand" talk? One thing we've learned so far is this is a very coachable team.

Plenty of games left against "quality" opponents, and it's way too early to be worried about any of this. I understand your passion behind this, but it's still only one bad game. I think it's more important that they learn from this and make the necessary adjustments to their compete level. Remember, it's still a very young team and bumps in the road are to be expected. To look at this another way, did anyone expect us to be this good at this point? In terms of how awful this loss was, the ranking simulator had us at 5.00 points for quality win bonus after Fridays games in the number overall position. The Princeton loss dropped 1.25 points off the quality win bonus to the top second seed. This is why we can't give away games to bad teams because with the formula it could bite you come in terms of where you get seeded.
Don't pay such close attention yet - right now, that's one bad loss out of 15 games. By the time tournament selection rolls around, it will be one bad loss out of ~38 (assuming Q makes it to the ECAC championship game), so its impact will be much less. Just take care of business, and you'll be fine.In terms of how awful this loss was, the ranking simulator had us at 5.00 points for quality win bonus after Fridays games in the number overall position. That does seem like an odd commit, unless Rand knows something we don't. Then again, it won't be the first time he's carried 4 goaltenders. He will be 21 next fall so its likely he will head to Hamden then. Not sure we need a goaltender with Garteig along with Sophmore Jacob Meyers and Freshman Brady Rouleau behind him.
