2012 WCHA Final Five

Re: 2012 WCHA Final Five

Couldn't get an interview with Gwozdecky? I'm shocked. :)

Gwoz was on Friday's show. I talked to him after "the interview" and we parted on good terms. I have every faith that he would talk to me again if I called and asked for an interview.

Re: 2012 WCHA Final Five

North Dakota played a hell of a tournament, outscoring opponents by a total of 10 goals over three games. It seems to me like it was a total team effort, and a mighty impressive one at that. GD Sioux ****ers.

Re: 2012 WCHA Final Five

Being able to beat arguably our top 2 rivals in Denver and Minnesota on the same weekend made this a memorable and simply amazing Final Five.

The amount of games in such short amount of time that Denver has played finally showed tonight which many predicted. Also doesn't help they were short on D. I hope that Jason Zucker is alright and ready to go for you guys in the NCAA's. Never want to see a guy injured.

Re: 2012 WCHA Final Five

Since, both teams will be playing three games in three nights I wouldn't be surprised if we see small little injuries after the game.

Sadly, I predicted an injury and unfortunately Wild prospect Jason Zucker is in the hospital.

Re: 2012 WCHA Final Five

Another year, another wildly successful Final Five. Not to beat a dead horse, but it's gonna be a **** shame to see this thing go after next year.

Re: 2012 WCHA Final Five

I've seen this ending before. It sucked the first and second time and it sucks this year.

Plus I didn't win Dance Mania. INJUSTICE!!

Re: 2012 WCHA Final Five

Once again, the WCHA enters the NCAA with banged-up teams and short benches.

I'm sure the schools love the money generated by this grueling 5/6-games-in-9-days format, but we're screwing our NCAA chances.

Not optimistic about either Denver or UND's chances. UMD and MN should have decent legs, and be "on parity" with their opponents.

Having the extra day off is absolutely crucial for the Sioux. I don't buy into the whole "not gonna have legs" theory; they're young, have great training staffs to help get them recovered, and they can play two games in two days with heart and passion, playing for a Frozen Four birth.

I agree. Denver definitely had dead legs last night (not saying that's why they lost, but it darn sure didn't help) but their injury situation is a big problem. I think 20-year-old athletes should be able to recover from dead legs in 4 days. Makowski is presumably out, Bennett might play, but to have his first game in months be in the ncaa's isn't ideal, and I don't think anyone knows yet about Didier and Zucker.

On top of that a newborn is sure to interfere with their normal sleep patterns.

UMD doesn't have any banged up players or a short bench. THat should help.
You're 1/10th of the way to repaying your debt from UND losing to Michigan.
We didn't want this debt! Take it back
you and that hat should've had it in the bag...tough to beat two little kids though..
I know! Having lower bowl tickets would have also helped, I Had to sneak my way down there. At least a little UMD fan won.

I take back what I what I said about people skipping the game to attend Johnny Holm...a funeral was more fun than that championship game.

Even MNS left early. At TK's, it was a sold out event, and they started requiring wristbands/proof of ticket at 6:30. When he busted out the Dropkick Murphys, the place went nuts.

That's because MNS is a moron. Who leaves a game early when their team is dominating and about to win a championship? Besides a member of the Boyfriend Bunch that is.
