2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

Re: 2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

My position is simple. If the Baby Boomers won't come up with the money they owe the trust fund then scrap the program and do it now before they're able to bankrupt it.
Just put a little Logan's Run crystal in every retiree's hand. When they exceed the amount they put in plus interest, it's off to Carousel.

So are you saying that's what Obama is proposing and Romney is opposing?

You're sending all the seniors to the amusement park? Not sure what that'll solve, but that's a innovative idea if nothing else.

Sad, but true....

Nope. Obama comes closest. All Romney talks about is keeping everything as it is for seniors. At least Obama slashed the 700 Billion or so from Medicare. That's a start.

Here's some more on last nights "debate".

Massive outbreak of CMS (Chris Mathews Syndrome) today. The ladies in the chorale are shocked, shocked that His Clownness stepped on his johnson last night. Why? Evidently the ladies have internalized all that media bull about what a brilliant, amazing, perfect person His Islamistlovingness is. Well, he ain't. And he showed it last night. I emailed a friend that this defeat last night (without his media bodyguards to explain it away) is the defeat that can't be explained away, spun or ignored. Sort of like Stalingrad.

Speaking of "lies" I'm wondering where His Dishonestness gets the hair to yammer about that "tax deduction for corporate jets," seeing as how it was a deduction pushed by his administration. And please spare me the faux tears about "Romney didn't provide details." That's a load of crap, and you know it. Loser talk. If Romney had pulled out his Ross Perot charts and graphs, the ladies would be howling about what a terrible debater he is and didn't he understand you can't be too specific in debates and all the rest of the standard bull.

His Racistness got his a*s kicked. And there's no explaining it away. Period.

Obama doesn't admit to slashing anything. Obama's been saying for months that Romney, not himself, will cut Medicare. He's been pushing the "let's scare seniors so they don't abandon us" card hard for months.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

Just out of curiosity, since you're acting like the banjo player in "Deliverance," are there any objective standards for "fact checkers?" Or is any a*shole with a keyboard qualified? And if there are no objective standards, then who gives a sh*t? It's just opinion. Dressing up opinions with which you agree with "fact check" is not a magic talisman. And doesn't make those opinions any more valid.

The New York Times (remember their front page expose of McCain's "affair.")? The Washington Post (remember their 5,000 word exegesis on some obscure Romney prep school prank from 45 years ago.)? Honest? Balanced? Unbiased? Go p*ss in someone else's ear.

OBAMA LOST. GET USED TO IT. AND HOPE FOR A BETTER OUTING NEXT TIME.

What does that matter?

Romney and Ryan are running around scaring seniors with the 700 billion that Obama cut with Obamacare. Same same. IMO at least he cut something from that freeloading generation of treasury stealers.

Old Pio. Don't care who won and who lost. Only care that the guy that won lied about everything.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

Regarding the tax cut of 2003, look at the difference in 2002, and then look at it in 2007. Exactly the same, in fact 2007 was a little better. That's right, it was paid for.

Oh for pete's sake, you're back to comparing nominal dollars and using a recession year as the base as proof the tax cuts raised revenue?

Why not just chug the whole container of Kool Aid, and put yourself out of your misery?

I have to say that the funniest thing I've heard about the whole debate and aftermath is Gore attributing Obama's less than stellar performance to the altitude. :D I told my wife and my 15 yo about it at dinner and they both cracked up.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

Anyone else wonder if it has to do with his preparation? (Specifically prepping with Kerry.) Just a thought I had wondering how Obama could come out so listless and unprepared.

I think for the next debate, they would be wise to chum the water and use someone who is a bit more vicious than Kerry. Someone to bring out the attack dog in Obama rather than bore us all to death like Kerry would.
