Not to judge your boyfriend, but IMHO, cruising is a very good deal. On this cruise- call it $700 pp. Or even call it $1500 per room. While not cheap, if you add up food and lodging, $300/night is not a horrible deal. And you can eat all you want.
(I just did a sample booking- cheapest inside from MI (yes, state matters for some reason) for 2 $1353. Balconies are a few hundred more, but that's not bad)
I do admit that this isn't the cheapest cruise that one can find- we did a 3 night for $150pp- but those are getting hard to find.
if your budget is just able to camp, or do motel 6 + McDs, yea- this is expensive. But typical hotels + food, eh- it's close. And the hotel does not carry you to places that you don't have to spend anything to check out.

Well, I'm still trying to figure out if I can go on this cruise. Boyfriend is too cheap and my other friend can't go. My parents are split on if they'd like to go.
