Hearing a rumor that they had been arguing over her attending/returning late from a concert.

If true, double-**** the world.

Maybe it's a callous opinion, but I don't think you postpone the game over this. It doesn't even have to be about money even though of course it is. But as tragic as it was this isn't a tropical storm or a national emergency.

Both teams are out of the playoffs right? Give em all the weekend off and play the game the first playoff weekend as a bonus game.

I'm also leaning towards "play the game". Fact of the matter guys, it is 1/8th of game day income for the year... 12.5%. That's not nothing. I'd also say that there's never a great time for this... and anything you do here may set precedent for the next time... I sympathize with the "18th week" suggestion... but say it happens to a team in the heat of the play-off chase. The union may say that you have to postpone because you've done it in the past and then that gets into a fight.

As bad as it may be... the best option all-around is to play the game.

Actually it isn't 1/8th because the road team does get a share of ticket sales but yes the game must go on.

The Vikings secondary now has more catches than its receiving corps today.

I want to like Ponder but I see no reason not to give either Webb or the Hyphen some reps.

Yup, I agree.

I have a feeling that Alex Smith will be available after this season. Given his contract size as a starting QB, I don't see how the 49ers keep him. It's MN's style to go after older QBs to bring in for a season or two.
