Re: 2012 NFL Season

That's two fourth downs where there should have been PI on SF. The NFL reallllly hates the Saints, I guess.

Re: 2012 NFL Season

My fantasy team crapped the bed on the chance to clinch a playoff spot this week (unless Cam Newton unleashes 42 points worth of whoop-*** on the Eagles tonight), but because of insane parity in my league there will be (barring unforeseen circumstances or outcome-changing stat corrections) 5 teams at 6-6 fighting for playoff spots 4 through 6, and I should have the tiebreaker over enough of them that a win next week will be enough to get me in. Not exactly what I had in mind at the start of the year, but if I squeak in, I guess there's always a chance I can string three wins together.

Main league, set divisions. My division (6 teams) once had the distinction of the last place team having a record of 7-7. There, the context is set.

This year? Top 4 teams in my division as of right now, 2 games to go. 8-4, 7-5 (me; 2nd due to tiebreaker), 7-5, 7-5 (team I beat this week). Top two teams make playoffs, and I face off against the other (currently) 7-5 team in the final week of the season (I play 5th place this week, who is 5-7).

Can you say "welcome to the grind?" I knew you could.

Side note: I've given up more points than all but one team in the league (who is last in our division). Also have scored the second most. And, if I played every team every week, I'd have the second best record in the league (currently 4th best record, due to tiebreakers)

Wah wah wee wah! From staring down the barrel of a six-way tie at 6-6, here I am in 3rd place at 7-5. I won't get a first-round bye unless the second-place team completely craps the bed next week, but I'm all but certain to make the playoffs. Thanks for scapegoating your defensive coordinator, Eagles!
