2012 NCHA Peters Cup Playoffs

Re: 2012 NCHA Peters Cup Playoffs

I wonder how what the fan proportion will be? Point fans easily bought up their allotment, and probably will be dispersed throughout the general seating. I have not been to the CCC yet this year, what have the crowds been as far as numbers? I know I was somewhat surprised by the low crowd for th Point/Superior series. Point historically draws somewhere around 1000-1100 average, with 17-1800 for special events (cancer night, giveaways, etc.), but that series only drew about 700 both nights. I'm sure anyone who's the 'on the fence' fan of SNC will be there, and those who don't typically travel for Point, but are usual Willett attendees will make this short drive, especially with the fact that Point hasn't been in a game of this importance for a decade. I hope it's loud and both teams bring it! Go Dogs!

A few other events going on tonight: Gamblers, ND HS in WIAA hockey tourney in Madison, some HS BB games rescheduled from last night.
Despite all of that, I would expect a full house. See you tonight.

I believe the attendance has averaged 1057 for the year. That doesn't mean anything though because 800 of those don't make a peep.
I will be very disappointed (as well as the team) if it isn't rocking tonight for a game like this against a one time rival.
It will be more disappointing if the Dawg fans are louder.

Great effort by the Knights tonight....all aspects of the team effort were solid.
Scored another three goals on the PP...Now 11 for the last 19 opportunities on the PP, 57.9%!!.
Played tight defense, as Point had very few quality chances.
Good to see the CCC soldout, with the large contingent of Pointer fans on hand.
Great to have Point back into the Peters Cup game after their long dry spell.
Now we wait and see who and when we play next.

Congratulations to Coach Coghlin, the staff and the players. Thank you for your efforts!

Power play ability was definitely the difference in the game. The Pointer power-play was not very good, and SNC's was exceptional. Overall good season for the Pointers, hopefully a foundation for seasons to come. Congrats to SNC, and good luck in the NCAA tourney.

As usual great NCHA season with lots of parity. Love how Stout had some great victories to finish strong in playoffs and this league places more teams in the national rankings than any other league.
St Norberts came thru when they needed to. Just like you all said SP gets in the penalty box and game over with Knights PP. Pointers have to be proud of a season with no substantial time for the coach to preapre or recruit in depth. His system obviously worked as the team adapted his style of play and got better. I think they need more players who can put the puck in the net.
