2012 Detroit Lions Thread: Brought To You By Attorney Sam Bernstein, 1-800-CALL-SAM

Re: 2012 Detroit Lions Thread: Brought To You By Attorney Sam Bernstein, 1-800-CALL-

At this point, I don't think it's just attitude. This guy lined up in the wrong spot, and moved others out of position, on purpose, during a game.

Eesh. I think the Rams only taking 10 days is another telling sign.

If he retires, I hope the Lions can do some sort of symbolic contract; Hanson deserves it.

Re: 2012 Detroit Lions Thread: Brought To You By Attorney Sam Bernstein, 1-800-CALL-

Why would they need to do a symbolic contract???? Is he not still a motor city kitty?

He's a FA, I thought. I don't know how the formalities work for such things. Since he never signed with another team, he's forever a Lion if he retires, even without a contract?

And he had to haul Louie Anderson out of the pool. Seriously. Read about that a month or two ago.

Reggie Bush is a Lion. 4 year deal.

Hanson's agent was lobbying in the press today- but the Lions haven't offered yet. At 43 he still has enough in him for one more season, IMO.

Absolutely on Hanson.

Chris Houston has also been re-signed.

Figures. The Lions brass are going for the sizzle and not the steak again. Just like Millen.

This may signal the desire to draft an impact CB or DE in the draft unless they sign someone else.

Gosder is gone, so it looks like Reiff will have a chance to start on the OL.

Re: 2012 Detroit Lions Thread: Brought To You By Attorney Sam Bernstein, 1-800-CALL-

Lions add S Glover Quin and DL Jason Jones today.

Re: 2012 Detroit Lions Thread: Brought To You By Attorney Sam Bernstein, 1-800-CALL-

Backus retires.

Re: 2012 Detroit Lions Thread: Brought To You By Attorney Sam Bernstein, 1-800-CALL-

So now what? Do they change their draft strategy to get another tackle?

I think first priority is the defense- hopefully they can get lucky in the draft for a lineman- but not at #5.

The tweeter machine is reporting that the Jim Schwartz challenge rule has passed.

Throwing the red flag on an automatically reviewed play will be a 15 yard penalty, but the play will still be reviewed now.

Re: 2012 Detroit Lions Thread: Brought To You By Attorney Sam Bernstein, 1-800-CALL-

Jason Hanson decides to hang them up.
