any word on how much the contract is?? I hope its something they can easily eat if he's not producing and they can find other free agent kicker out there that can produce under pressure.

Free Press reports Lions taking a look at Te'o.

I knew it. I just knew it.

Word around here is that the Vikings are looking at him too. From all reports, because I didn't watch the BCS title game, is that he can't handle fast RBs. Whichever team ends up with him, at least they've got some built-in distractions from bad play on the field.

If key players stay healthy: 9-7. (6-2 home, 3-5 road.) If riddled with injuries- 4-5 wins.

I mean, c'mon the first six games are brutal. The last seven are brutal. It is not an easy schedule. Hard time winning any division road games let alone at Az, Wash, Philly,Cleve, Pitt. Home vs. Giants, Cincy, Tampa, Baltimore and Dallas.

What, no snappy Lions draft chatter?

C'mon, we got ZIGGY!

I don't like our first two picks. We burnt the #5 pick on a guy who has started a total of 9 games, with 4.5 sacks. Oh, and he's only played football since 2010. It's not like he was sitting behind Bruce Smith in his prime or something.

THIS is why I am not steeped in the kool-aid. Their projects better work out or the staff is gone this season. Disastrous draft, IMO.

Not to mention that our 2nd rounder has a torn meniscus. Given our injury history, that's just about the last thing we need. While I like the 3rd round pick, we've got to make sure he stays away from the buffet table more often than not.

We drafted a whole bunch of question marks. Given our track record, that's not a good thing.

Right. If they pan out, great, but eh, I'm kind of thinking that there was safer options available with most of the picks. And hell, who drafts a punter??

Minnesota does. And Green Bay.

Especially when the incumbent has an appreciable Internet fanbase and unprecedented contact with fans, is doing a serviceable to very good job, and is sitting at home painting his miniatures while the rest of the league goes out thuggin' at da club?

Yeah, he's got a big mouth, but at least he doesn't run a farking dogfighting ring and hasn't had the phrase "accessory to double homicide" next to his name.
