2012 D1 BCS thread

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

Silas Redd transferred from a 8-4 Penn State team to a 7-5 USC team. Cannot make it up!

But at least a 7-5 team that is bowl bound where he will get some mediocre swag. I do find it funny though. He could have been part of something at Penn State. An opportunity to rise above.

He made the right decision, except of where to transfer to. I don't know why he'd want to play for the underperforming scum that is Lane Kiffin.

It'll be funnier if USC loses their bowl game.

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

They need a lot more than that for it to happen. That is step 1 of about 8.

1. Beat NIU
2. UCLA loses to Stanford for a 2nd week in a row (likely, but perhaps Mora makes some adjustments & the Bruins win)
3. Texas loses to K-State (much more likely)
4. Whoever wins the Big East (Rutgers, Louisville, Syracuse, or Cincinnati) stays out the top 16 of the BCS standings (seeing as none of them are even in the top 25, this is pretty much a given)

If Kent State makes it to the BCS, I'd expect them to end up more like Hawaii than Boise State or TCU.

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

When asked if Greg Davis would be Iowa's OC next season today, Kirk Ferentz replied, "as far as I know, yeah."

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

In case anyone didn't believe me when I warned you that Rutgers would crap the bed:

I told you so.

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

Man that's frustrating. Two absolutely horrid drops by the same guy in the fourth quarter.

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

How on earth do you lose to a guy who couldn't walk, had one hand, and hadn't practiced all week?

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

Big East title now shared between Louisville, Rutgers, Syracuse, and possibly Cincinnati. Hey, the Gophers beat a conference champion this season!

Because they're not that good. It's probably just as well that they lost, they'd get embarrassed in a BCS bowl and instead now maybe they'll get a winnable matchup.
