2012-2013 schedules

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

We got UNinvited from the GLI so I know we had to do some shuffling, not sure if mine was accurate or not

I think it's more likely that, instead of having RPI come to you for a weekend, you're heading to Vermont for their tournament.

...unless of course you were uninvited from the Catamount Cup as well.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

From the Northern Michigan thread:

I haven't seen the schedule yet, but it's already known that our non-conference opponents will be:
vs Wisconsin (at the Resch Center (we're the home team))
at St. Cloud (aka St, Clooud)
home and home versus Michigan Tech
vs (or at) Nebraska Omaha

Meaning that in CCHA play, we'll be traveling to Alaska.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

That would mean that RPI has an open weekend in October unless there is another change, like moving the SHU game to that weekend instead of Monday after returning from St. Cloud.

I guess it is all subject to change until made official but the reason I heard St. Cloud was moved to Thursday & Friday was because RPI had a home game on Monday afternoon (New Years Eve) so it would give them a day after travel.

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

I'd have to think Union will be hosting at least one OOC team sometime in October. The only games currently known in October are those two @ Bowling Green. Union made trips to Denver, CC, Michigan, Merrimack, New Hampshire last year.... I doubt the first three would ever come to Messa, but maybe Merrimack or NH? Maybe an Atlantic Hockey team - they've had at least one visit from Army, RIT, AIC, UConn, Sacred Heart, Niagara during the past few years.

Any guesses who Union might be able to bring in during October?

This is part confirmed, part educated speculation on Union's schedule. Nothing official from the school yet.

OCTOBER
10/12 - at Bowling Green
10/13 - at Bowling Green
NOVEMBER
11/2 – at RPI
11/3 – vs RPI
11/9 – at Harvard
11/10 – at Dartmouth
11/23 – vs Penn State (Schott reported on this possible two game series in December)
11/24 – vs Penn State
11/30 – vs Quinnipiac
DECEMBER
12/1 - vs Princeton
12/7 – at Brown
12/8 – at Yale
TBD late December - play in Catamount Cup @ Vermont
JANUARY
1/11 – at Princeton
1/12 – at Quinnipiac
1/18 – vs Cornell
1/19 – vs Colgate
1/26 – RPI (non-league, possibly at Times Union Center as per Schott)
FEBRUARY
2/1 – vs Dartmouth
2/2 – vs Harvard (likely get moved due to Beanpot)
2/8 – at Clarkson
2/9 – at St. Lawrence
2/15 – vs Yale
2/16 – vs Brown
2/22 – at Colgate
2/23 – at Cornell
MARCH
3/1 – vs St. Lawrence
3/2 – vs Clarkson

Re: 2012-2013 schedules

Hey mar7967, just a little note: The IceBreaker is an exempt tournament, so Army is allowed 7 more NC games, as opposed to 5. I'm not sure if they'll fill them all, but they're still allowed them.

Thanks! I totally forgot!

According to Kevin Sneddon (as reported by the man the myth the legend of ECAC hockey reporting), St. Cloud is going to the Catamount Cup, so they will not be able to play RPI that weekend.

Is that a challenge? I smell a few split-squad games with the club team filling in.

Can you provide a link to that?

Im disappointed that ohio state wont get a chance to expand on there 2 game winning streak at Yost next season. I will miss not watching a game in that historic place.
