And then there were two. Andrew Martens and the Toronto Marlies are still active in the AHL Playoffs, and James Hanson and the Waterloo Blackhawks will play a winner take all Game 5 in the USHL Playoffs on Wednesday at Green Bay.

Looks like former Beaver Matt Francis will be back with the Nottingham Panters of the ELITE league.

Also, the Toronto Marlies made the AHL Championship Series, where they will take on Norfolk. The Marlies are battling some injuries right now, so former Beaver Andrew Martens may have a chance of seeing some action.

The off season has started in the pro leagues.

Andrew Murray was traded by the San Jose Sharks to the Detroit RedWings. Murray is an unrestricted free agent and it looks like Detroit doesn't have any interest in signing him.

Former Beaver Darcy Findlay has signed with BSU-West, the Rapid City Rush of the CHL.

Former Beaver Andrew Murray has signed a NHL-AHL deal with the St. Louis Blues/Peoria Rivermen. This gives him the chance to again play for Ken Hitchcock if he makes it to the NHL, who was his coach in Columbus. He is expected to be the #2 Center with Peoria and serve some call up duty with the parent club.

Also, current Beaver goaltender Andrew Walsh was part of the Developmental Camp with the Vancouver Canucks.

Brandon Marino signed with the now-ECHL Fort Wayne Komets. I only know this because Tyler Butler ('03) also signed today. Chargers and Beavers getting along?!

I hope he can get the same jump out of playing there that Scott Munroe did. Muny said the planes were just as scary as you'd fear.

This will be Dalton's second year over there as last year he was with Vityaz Chekhov. He didn't get may wins, even though he had decent numbers before getting hurt, as that team was more into fighting that it was scoring. There was a push by some to get the team kicked out of the league for being embarrassing. There is even a video out there of a goalie fight with Dalton as a participant.
