He's just trying to manuever himself to take over JDubbs position in the Gopher Fan Hierarchy.

I'm ok with JDubbs. He bleeds maroon and gold and he's entitled to his opinion like anyone else here. The kid is misguided at times but he's a fighter.

Here is the WCHA poll:

Defending MacNaughton Cup champion Minnesota earned 24 of 25 first-place votes in the annual 94X WCHA Preseason Media Poll released Wednesday.

North Dakota had the other first-place vote.

A panel of 25 WCHA media members voted on the predicted order of finish and on several individual honors.
School (First-place votes)

1. Minnesota (24)
2. North Dakota (1)
3. Denver
4. Wisconsin
5. Minnesota-Duluth
6. St. Cloud State
7. Colorado College
8. Nebraska-Omaha
9. Michigan Tech
10. Minnesota State
11. Bemidji State
12. Alaska-Anchorage

I am honestly surprised to see UMD ranked that high. I am also surprised to see that the voters did not put Michigan Tech with Home ice.

If it makes you feel any better I have UMD finishing 1 point ahead of UAA.

Nah, for the first time in several years, our top scorers (such as they are) are coming back. There's a new coach with a new system. Teddy Blueger is probably the most promising recruit at MSU since Backes. I'm not expecting a top-half finish, but we'll be better than 11th this year.

I wouldn't be surprised by a top half finish either.
