Re: 2012-13 NHL Thread. Fehr Thee Well??

am about 80th in line to get tix to the Bruins. There are 190 ppl here so far. I did use early access to snag loge seats for Winnipeg (Monday) and Washington (3-16) but am hoping to get some good seats when the box office opens. We've just been told there will be a 15 min delay which should be up by the time I finish typing this on my phone

Tickets thru the official site for patriot day are outrageous. Looks like I'm goin thru stubhub for half the cost.

got 2 tix each to 2/9 v TBL and 3/27 v Montreal. got loge seats for the Montreal game. Now that price points are known I expect stubhub and the like will jack up prices. Prices before were set by season ticket holders at the discounted STH rate. This morning the top ticket for Bruins games was $1177. I've already seen some this afternoon for 2K.

Most seats are still roughly 50% of what the bruins are asking. At least for the game I was looking at.

Brent Burns just woke up from hibernation.

I was looking forward to watching Pens/Flyers on Saturday.... just saw that we're getting Hawks/Kings. doh. and we have to wait until next week for HNIC in the US. I guess I shouldn't complain, because at least there's NHL on TV.

Obvious news is obvious: Winter Classic in Ann Arbor in 2014.

Less obvious news: Re-alignment is coming!

An eight team conference made up of mostly Central Time Zone teams? Are they going to move ahead on the proposed alignment changes?

So we'll have two 8-team conferences and two 7-team conferences. Hello, Quebec City and Seattle.

We're more likely to see Phoenix move to Quebec than we are to see an expansion. Of course, Bettman would want Houston and Kansas City, or some southern American cities.

Re: 2012-13 NHL Thread. Fehr Thee Well??

If it IS the proposed format from last year, I'm dissappointed because that puts 16 teams in the "West" and 14 in the "East." Even the MLB is moving away from unbalanced non-sense by making it 15/15.

If Seattle is a viable market, and the Yotes move there, it's still 16/14. Move the Yotes to Quebec, add Seattle and Hamilton, 8's across the conferences.
