Brandt easily could have had 2-3 more this past weekend, but she managed to flip it just over the crossbar from inside the paint when the goalie had the lower half covered.

Former Boston Shamrock Dakota Woodworth jusr buried a nice wrister for her first collegiate goal and a 3-0 BU lead.

After 2 periods

Clarkson 3 Vermont 1
Clarkson outshooting Vermont by 35 -9 and generally dominating play and puck possession. Vermonts goalie Douville has been good.
Vermont gets a goal when puck going behind the net hits the referee in the shoulder and bounces into the crease where Vt player taps it home.
Clarksons Howe stopped a short handed breakaway by Vermont.
Vermont takes a boat load of penalties. Clarkson gets power play goals from Styner and Rattray. Rattray scores her second on a short handed breakaway goal.

Minnesota up 3-0 at St. Lawrence after two. Kessel, Davis and McMillan.

After 2 periods in Ohio Buckeyes up 4-0. Goals McKinnon, Semenza x2, and Hollowell. Shots 19-14 favoring ND

Kessel with the EN goal. 5-0 Minnesota over St. Lawrence...final. Back at it tomorrow.

Buckeyes hold on for a 5-3 win over North Dakota. First time they have gone 5-0 in program history.

Man...., really not sure what to make of both the starts OSU and UND have had. Should be interesting to see as the season goes along.

Cornell beats Brampton of the CWHL 5-2 in an exhibition game. Looking at Brampton's roster, this appears to be a solid opening test for the Big Red. Jenner led the way with two goals. Jillian Saulnier and Taylor Woods each had 1 goal and 1 assist.

Cornell will play a second exhibition game on Sunday against Montreal of the CWHL.

Wow, including two wins over UMD and one over UND. Good on them. Not something I would have bet on with Spooner and Mac no longer there. Any sighting of OSUALUM dancing in the street ?. :)

What a difference a year makes. Last year Quinny out of the gate slow. This year they come out firing. Bobcats 6-1 over the Bears. Babstock on fire, 4 goals and a helper.
