Goalie controversy?
I'm sure Ms. Leveille is a fine goalie, but I think I'd withhold judgement until she faces a team which breathes a little heavier in her crease. By my count, UNH had serious scoring threats on maybe 2 or 3 occasions, yet none of them drew that rink wide gasp that comes from an impressive save. Not saying she isn't capable, just saying this game didn't prove it.Amanda Leveille records her second shutout of the season and retains her 100.0 save percentage. Goalie controversy?
People, eeyore's kidding.... Please.Amanda Leveille records her second shutout of the season and retains her 100.0 save percentage. Goalie controversy?
I think they just forgot to update the time on lives stats. The penalty was called, and Cornell scored on the following shift.
The Harvard score is incorrect. The Crimson won 4-1. I was there until the final buzzer.
Harvard 3
Northeastern 1 final
Clarkson beats Cornel 2-1, scoring a power play goal to take the lead. Cornell had NINE penalties called against them. Cornell need to figure out how to stay out of the box. Overall, a great game with back and forth action. Shots on goal were even at 30.
Both goalies came up big in this one especially Slobotnick who stopped a breakaway in the third. Cornell pulled her with 1:30 to go in the game and I think they had 4 or 5 grade A chances that they shot wide or over the net. Styner and McAuley scored the goals for Clarkson, McAuley got the PP goal in the third. As you said a great game with back and forth action but also a game where each team squandered scoring chances with poor passing. Clarkson especially had three 2 on 1's that they had a pass that miss connected. Should be another great game at Lynah in 2013.
