Re: 2011 Posters' Game - St Paul

thanks to the organizers - even those of us that suck had fun :)

Re: 2011 Posters' Game - St Paul

There will be more general F4 pics added later this week, as I steal them from others' FB pages. Will notify when this happens (gonna try and upload in one session).

Was that you in the UNH jersey? Outside of the locker room I only asked one person his name and that con so I could semi-apologize about the shot I put into his skate back in St. Louis. Then his wife told me that she's heard stories about the event. :D

I should have been more social.

Ditto on my end. I knew most of the people there from previous gatherings, but that was about the only time I saw many of them. :( Talking with the Cornell people at Reid's/tailgate though, there are some possible plans for me to finally make an eastern trip. Getting vacation/scheduling is a huge factor. I'm also thinking about the Pittsburgh F4, since I have zero interest in TB F4 and the possible Nashville F4.

Yeah, I passed you by a couple times but you were busy with the photos and such, so I didn't introduce myself.

Looking through the pics from outside the game, from what I saw on TV I thought DHG had glued on a fake beard because of how dark it looked. I see that I was wrong.

I finally got to meet you Brent!

I think my dad and I are gonna try and make the best of Tampa Bay and do some golfing and maybe a trip to Busch gardens. I'm probably gonna work extra this summer and fall to try and put some extra money away.

Once again thanks everybody, I had a blast even though clown thought I was gonna be a hack right from the get go.

goldy, your back better be fine for tampa, and then you better watch your back!;) and bring the kid, we had some good line chemistry out there. He's a good little player!

The funniest part about DHG's beard is that after the game, he went back to the hotel to crack open the Crown Royal he bought for the 2004 run, and shave the beard. :D

And ditto on goldy's kid. He was outplaying half the posters!

I'm thinking we're going to get in to the TB lottery just to have a higher priority for Pittsburgh. I wouldn't be opposed to going, though.
Even though I literally spoke to everyone who checked in, I'm sorry we didn't get more time to chat! And, who knows, maybe I'll get some gear and be playing at the next Poster's Game.

There are other things to do on a Tampa vacation.... ;)

As for the tampa posters game- it will be interesting to see if that materializes. I'd like to, and some of the people who expressed interest in the cruise posted about storing equipment somewhere in Tampa....

When the game moves to P-burg- I bet pgb will be in the middle of it, since it's a short drive for him!

I just wish the FF was a week earlier like it used to be so it would coincide with my kid's spring break. He's not a good enough student to take some days off the week after break.

That's what I was thinking as well, because the best chance for people to get into the lottery is probably this year. It'll be interesting to see what sttendance figures will look like, etc down in Tampa. Nice meeting you as well!

totally understandable. maybe he'll really find himself in school next year, a year can change someone alot!

He's smart enough, just not organized enough. Worked fine in elementary school, but with A days and B days and so many different teachers, if he doesn't write everything down and get it on the calendar, he's screwed.

You need to get him one of them Smartphones...I thought everyone in Edina had one ;)

Sean,

I wish I had video of you jumping the boards...that is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. :D

We would get him an electronic device to help, if we could. Teachers won't let him get it out during class to record his assignments and after class he's already forgotten what he was supposed to record. He has a dumb phone, but most of his friends have them.

Sorry I missed Sean's accrobatic display.
