Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

Sorry, let me correct myself. May possibly have a good chance of going to Game 6 tonight, with no money out of pocket except the cost to get down there.

Still hammering out details....

Whats that? You can take a die-hard B's fan from the board with you?

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

Well. I am GOING to GAME 6!!!!

I posted a Craigslist ad this weekend, seeing if anyone would trade their Game 6 tickets for my Tom Brady Autographed, Authentic, On Field Patriots Jersey. I got the jersey in a charity auction last year and, while nice and pretty awesome, it's been sitting in a bag in my dresser since I got it. I have no real use for it, and would have probably sold it sometime in the future.

I figure this is a good use for it, trading it for Game 6 tickets. This is a possibly once in a lifetime opportunity, and I'll never forget this game, or this season for that matter.

Now, they better F#%^@ win. I am 8-1 this year. I do not want this season to end tonight.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

Everybody, including the Canucks, wants Boston to win tonight.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

Which probably means they won't. :( When people haven't wanted the Bruins to win, or weren't expecting them to, they did.

How is Meffa these days? I used to live in Malden.

I think the B's have a great chance to win tonight. I dunno whether Vancouver really lacks intestinal fortitude but they really seem to wilt in the face of that crowd.

Not a bad deal on the trade there. where in the arena is your seat??

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

You said it yourself - Thelma and Louise were kind of bad***. So there was nothing really clever about Millbury's statement. He was just calling them women.

So where does the misogyny come into play? Or is being compared to the Sedin sisters offensive to all women?

Well, there's that. But saying "Oh yeah? Well you're a girl!" pretty much expired as a clever retort in the third grade.

Depending on the row, those seats are going for between $700 and $1000. If you need someone to go with you, let me know ;)

Haha. I am going with my cousin. We went to Montreal's 7-0 Beating earlier this year, and then that Islanders 3-2 win a week or so after that.

I'll post pictures tonight when I get home.

Not to play into Scarlet's world of "the glass if half empty" but... EVERYONE is picking the Bruins to win this game tonight. Everyone. Has me a bit worried.

Pretty much. Kind of get the feeling of a game where Vancouver jumps out 2-0 in the first ten minutes and Boston spends the last 30 minutes coming at them in waves but only manage one goal. Vancouver wins despite being outshot 46-21 or so.

Sounds familiar.

Likewise...the longer the game is tied, or the longer Vancouver goes without getting a lead can only help Boston. I think Boston HAS to score first in this one, and the earlier the better. I also think that if we see a 0-0 score with Vancouver having the momentum, you send Thornton out there for a fight with Lap. or Torres. I know Vancouver won't drop the gloves, but its something Boston has to consider to keep momentum and the crowd in the game.
