Generally speaking, you're going to have to score more than one goal to win a playoff game. SJ deserved to win.

Ooooh boy, the tinfoil is in full effect today for about half the posters on a Wings board that I frequent.

Pronger should've got an extra 2 for that punch in front of the penalty bench.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Good to see Horton make up for that weak defensive play earlier. 2-1 good guys* after 1.

*2-1 less horrible guys for most of uscho, I know

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Rex continues to be a Flyer Killer. 3-1 B's.

Yet another PP upcoming for Boston. They seem to be setting it up a LITTLE bit better anyways...

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

they seem to be afraid to go to the net on the PP... tough to watch these... I know taking dumb risks is not a good idea... but they seem to be shying away from opportunities on the PP.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

AWFUL call on the high stick. The rules state there is no penalty to be called if you're following through on a shot/pass.

Awful, awful call.

NHL Rules said:
60.1 High-sticking - A “high stick” is one which is carried above the height of the opponent’s shoulders. Players and goalkeepers must be in control and responsible for their stick. However, a player is permitted accidental contact on an opponent if the act is committed as a normal windup or follow through of a shooting motion. A wild swing at a bouncing puck would not be considered a normal windup or follow through and any contact to an opponent above the height of the shoulders shall be penalized accordingly.
