Yes I know I can't be the first to have done this...but oh how I loathe Vancouver. Naturally, this was put in off the rebound.

They did the beachball thing to Clouts too. After the Lidstrom half-ice goal, it was well-deserved.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Thornton post game interview in the locker room to reporters:

“I don’t really read what you guys write, I read playboy and stuff like that…”

hahahahahahahaha.

Yep - he buys it for the articles -- just like the rest of us.

Wings fans, who do you have tonight?

A Vancouver win, and Detroit moves on to play a no-name Nashville team (that's nevertheless won a lot of games lately).

A Chicago win and you get the Blackhawks. Obviously, that one will be more fun. Would it be too fun, though?

Yeah....San Jose finished ahead of Detroit, so you have that backwards.

It's either Vancouver/Nashville and San Jose/Detroit or San Jose/Chicago and Detroit/Nashville.

I would rather face Nashville... BUT, the Griffins players seem to have forgotten that a certain former Milwaukee Admirals Finnish goaltender has a WEAK GLOVE SIDE...

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

The April 11 issue of Sports Illustrated has a preview and prediction of this year's Stanley Cup playoffs. Writer Brian Cazeneuve picks Philly to beat Vancouver in the Stanley Cup finals. It could happen. On the other hand, Philadelphia faces Buffalo and Vancouver faces Chicago tonight in seventh games of opening round series. In other words, both Philly and Vancouver may be out of the playoffs by the end of the evening.

My $.02 is that Boston wins its series tonight against Les Habs.

Wow, Montreal got hosed so badly that Jack Edwards got embarassed.

Brickley(?) doing his best to maintain that the play never should have happened (penalty in MTL end).

All I can say is "ONE GOAL!"

Nervous as hell about the game... Watching at a bar, so I am sure beverages will be consumed... Should be a great night :p
