Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Ho. Ly. Sh**. The Joe was amazing today. What a fantastic crowd to be a part of. The friend that tagged along with NMUKat and I today said he hasn't heard a place with such enthusiasm and noise since the old Chicago Stadium.

Howard was left out to dry on two PP goals: the Wings were defending against the initial shooter, and the puck rebounded to a waiting Coyote for the layup that Jimmy had no chance at stopping.

The Yotes looked confused the first two periods. Lots of scrambling behind the puck, miscues, etc. Only Shane Doan looked like he didn't want to got to Manitoba. The rest of the team looked ready to skate at the MTS Centre.

I'll start a phone-a-fetus pledge drive to keep them afloat.

haha count me as a primary sponsor!

but seriously, **** the bruins. every year. also FYI all my posts regarding the subject this night were drunk posts....very drunk posts. However, they speak such large volumes of truth, it doesnt matter how sauced I was.

your mom. :)
the good news is I can stop caring about this ****ty sport after thursday

I stopped caring years ago. How can you care about a team when the owner doesn't? He only cares about how much beer was sold and how many nachos were bought

The best part of this , wasn't their Bruins fans on here hoping they'd play Montreal TF

No one wanted to play the toilet seats. We also didn't want to play the Sabres and Rangers either. Yeah. It was a bad year to be a top seed.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

I do enjoy the all black look of the Sharks. Never liked the Kings logo. Purple and black is stupid.

Disagree. Claude is a great coach, and Boston wouldnt be half as good without him. But I mean, as long as Dave Lewis is still around...

Also, Boston is 0-26 all time when down 2-0 in a series.

Really? That's a bold statement about the team being not half as good without Julien. I realize the players play the games, but the fact is a strong Bruins team has lost their last six playoff games. The montreal press is absolutely having a field day with the decisive difference in coaching.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

The first 10 minutes of Game 3 are the most important 10 minutes of the season for Boston. They MUST get going early, and get the crowd out of the game. They not only need to win Game 3, but they need to win it convincingly.

I am disgusted with the team. They've had these periods of awful play this year. I was hopeful they had solved those issues. Guess not.

Yes, Price is playing very well, but the Bruins have just been awful. Inconsistent, uninspired play.

The Bruins were a good road team all season long. They ARE talented enough to take 2 at Centre Bell. But I don't know if they have the heads for it. And that's where Julien comes in. He needs to be fired, no question, if they lose this series. I was shocked he kept his job after last year.

Now 2-0 LA. Doughty with another PPG.

So, that's about 15 good minutes of hockey in the 134 in the playoffs so far. Sharks are doing about as well this season to start as they did the last two postseasons. Down 3-1 to Anaheim in '09, within 50 seconds and a Pavelski tying goal of being down 0-3 last season, and a Pavelski OT winner of being 0-2 to a wounded LA team. If they get back to SJ even or better, I think they'll win the series, though I've seen almost nothing to indicate that they can manage the one win to accomplish that.

And John Scott takes an untimely penalty, and a 1-0 Chicago lead is now 2-1 Vancouver.

I feel all we are missing now is Freddie Meyer.
