Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

There's something seriously wrong when Kaberle is the best D-man available.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Kevin Allen reports that the Penguins have withdrawn their offer to Jagr.

Not surprised. He's Favre-ing it with his inability to make a decision.

Makes me wonder if Holland still wants him. I'm not crazy about the idea at all.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

I'm not either, but I've got the feeling that he's headed our way.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Columbus Dispatch reporting that James Wisniewski is off the market.

6 yrs/33M. (heh)

That means a 5th round pick for Montreal.

This will be Wisniewski's fifth team. JMO, but obviously a severe overpayment.

Chris Higgins stays in Vancouver, 2 yrs at 1.9M per. Good deal for both.

Meh. Higgins has no hands. I'll telly ou what was good value though...Tyler Kennedy only signing for $2 million per.

I'm going to laugh when Jagr ends up signing nowhere.

I'd also laugh if he signs with Montreal.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Would love Jagr on a one year deal in Montreal playing with Plekanec. The two obviously did quite well as linemates in the Olympics.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Darren Dreger:

as per @GinoRedaTSN, LA Kings have arrived at Newport offices to meet with Brad Richards and agent Pat Morris.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Kennedy's deal is 2 years at $2 million per for a total of $4 million.

Good deal for Pens.
