2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Trevor Plouffe just hit one to the river. Twins score 4 with 2 out in the 5th to finally take the lead.

Royal bullpen royally blowing it. 6-3 Twins with the bases loaded in the 7th.

Twins scored 4 in the 5th and 4 in the 7th making it 8-3. Mijares trying to eff it up in the 8th.

Capps strikes again!

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Let's not forget they failed to drive in the runner from 3rd with 1 out in the bottom half of the inning. Capps sucks, but scoring one run at home against the Royals isn't exactly a great output, either. :p

All true, but the fact is they had a 1 run lead in the 9th and said lead was still safe with at least one out if not two. :)

Yup. 1-0 is no different than 7-6. Capps can't hold a lead.

Evidently Anderson took both Capps and Nathan aside after the game last night and let them know that their roles are flipping.

Edit: So far so good. Nathan gets the save.

Joe Closer!

Picking him (back) up last week or so might be a great move. Drafting him looked horrible. I should have never doubted him. Sorry, Joe Closer. If I ever see you at Toby Keith's again, I owe you a beer. :)

We're a fickle group us Twins fans. From "trade em all" to "We're comin, we're comin!" in less than 24 hours.

*Not necessarily anyone here, just Twins fans I know in general.

Nah, not trade them all, just Capps. :)

I will admit, I went on the record and said to blow up the roster earlier this season.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

To be fair, they just played the Royals. We'll see where things stand a week from now - if the team continues its torrid pace, management needs to pick up a player to bolster the bullpen.

In this morning's Strib LaVelle III mentioned the Twins are looking at a trade with the Jays, Slowey for Tats
