2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

My parents were screwed this year. Every weather situation has been a day they have tickets with their 20 game plan.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

I was thinking about going tonight, but its probably better if I don't spend the money. I can't go Saturday, I have a wedding to go to, and Sunday is the final round of the US Open, so no time for baseball that day.

The rain hit when I got into my car and left the parking ramp to go home. Great ovation for Mauer and Neshek. That was sweet. Ludwick can crush the ball

How much of the credit does Anderson get for the turn around of the staff?

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

It's really amazing that even with a 14-3 June so far they are still 8 games under .500.

Who is all going to Milwaukee for the series with the Brewers? I need a final beer count.

Speaks to how terrible they were in April and May.

I have to imagine even 8 games back, Cleveland and Detroit are looking over their shoulders.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Hahaha, eight straight hits to start the game for MN.

I guess the hit streak had to end at some point - stupid Pavano. :p

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Looking at the Gametracker, it seems like the Twins are off to a good start tonight. 6-0 in the top of the first, runners on 2nd and 3rd. No outs.

edit: ok, so my gametracker is a little behind Bakunin's tv

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Single-double-single-double-single-double-single-double-strike out-double... that's the first ten batters. :p

...and the SF pitcher has been taken out after completing 1/3 of an inning - and that's the cheapest 1/3 of an inning ever, given that his only out was Pavano. :D

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Pavano might be all three outs. :)

The looks on the SF coaching staff's faces are priceless.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Gardy should send Pavano back out to the bullpen to re-warm up. Of course, there's a very real risk he'll have to bat again, so I guess he can't do that until the batting order turns over again. :p

And the 3B bobbles the ball and gets the E. Haha, this is a train wreck.

... and Mauer lines out into a double play to end the top half of the inning. Good to see Joe's still got his double play mojo. :p
