2011 College Football Part II: Bowls, The Rematch, and Recruiting >Tebow

Re: 2011 College Football Part II: Bowls, The Rematch, and Recruiting >Tebow

Exodus from Penn State has begun

Silas Redd to USC as expected, Rob Bolden (who tried to transfer twice before this even broke) to LSU, where crazy man Les Miles will continue his efforts to win a national title with as little talent at QB as possible, backup tight end Kevin Haplea to Florida State to be the backup there, backup safety Tim Buckley to NC State and it's like Cal will pick up a LB named Furtt in the next couple of days.

Also, UCF became the 4th school this season with a bowl ban, with Miami likely to be #5 at some point and Oregon not being out of the question, making this year's bowl eligibility situation interesting.

Mon-Tay (don't call him Montee) Ball, UW Back, 2011 Heisman finalist, was coming out of a Univ. Ave bar at 2:30 or so Tuesday, and 5-6 guys started beating the crap out of him. He was in the hosp. overnight, and might have received a concussion. Coach Bielema says he might not be ready for the start of workouts.

Not to worry, the all seeing, all knowing NCAA has a solution.

Wow. Talk about burying the lede...

"In other business, the Board approved an additional game in the Football Bowl Subdivision to allow student-athletes to participate in a game between the winners of two exempted postseason bowl games."

So the most major overhaul ever in how college football determines a champion is "...other business..."

Exodus might be overstating things.

93% of the roster. 7% of the talent.

Re: 2011 College Football Part II: Bowls, The Rematch, and Recruiting >Tebow

I don't get the first pool; I thought you're already allowed to count one win against an FCS team?

The first pool is the same as the old requirements, they just added all of the other pools.

Yeah, counting 30-something walk-ons to pump up your percentage feels good Sunday-Friday, but it's not going to feel good on Saturdays.

Re: 2011 College Football Part II: Bowls, The Rematch, and Recruiting >Tebow

I have no idea what the **** that twitter tag did to my reply. Anyway.

Adding 30-something walk-ons to boost your percentage might feel nice Sunday-Friday, but probably not on Saturdays.

What the hell did you do to the board? I think you broke it...

Tyrann Matheiu kicked off of LSU. His response. (NSFW)

Am I the only one still experiencing technical difficulties with this thread?

Re: 2011 College Football Part II: Bowls, The Rematch, and Recruiting >Tebow

Mine is back to normal. Then again I have it on 50 posts per page so it cleared up a while back after the earlier post I made about the issue.

Re: 2011 College Football Part II: Bowls, The Rematch, and Recruiting >Tebow

Looks normal to me. And I never saw the problem earlier right after the offending post. It has looked fine the whole time. Is it dependent on browser? I use Chrome at home and IE at work, neither have the problem.
