I plan to take more solace in the Broadmoor Trophy, along with the fact that we crushed our biggest rival playing with 17 skaters in one of the biggest comebacks in WCHA history. A bit more solace will be taken in Boston College's total thrashing of Rau and his chirp-happy teammates in Tampa.

Has hakstool become the biggest choker in wcha ncaa playoff history yet? he never seems to be able to get-r-done in the ncaas. I guess 17 skaters will be the big excuse why you lost to the lower seed again.

Thanks for jumping in on this thread, Happy! Awfully nice of you to take time away from Minnesota's most successful season in nearly 10 years to chirp at UND since it's obviously more important to you than anything the Gophers do. And thanks everyone else, including me now it seems, for interacting with him!

Tip of the cap to this team for playing their hand as far as they did. Would have been easy in January to accept all the excuses in front of them and coast to the finish line.

Funny how Gopher posters are the first to complain about others in their threads.



Credit to Nodak for a great run at the end of the season.

Those defensive zone lapses in coverage were killer though and unfortunately the rodents buried each chance.

Tough to see the Sioux go. Does anybody know if you guys are coming to Alfond next year? Or if we're heading over there? Playing the Sioux every hear has been fun, hope it doesn't end.

I don't believe we are. But I'm sure we'll be back at some point. Non- conference next year I heard BU, tourney in Fairbanks and did I hear Holy Cross? I'm sure I missed some if there are more.

Conference schedule remains the same with the home dates flipped, correct?

Edit: or will pods switch or whatever?

Who lost to a lower seed last year in the wcha playoff's and then the coach got a raise and contract extension because of it? oh yea you forgot .......

I think actually it should be just the 2012 off-season thread, since the off-season doesn't typically overlap two calendar years, unless of course you're Alaska Anchorage. :p

To be fair, Happy doesn't complain and the ones who do go into other team's threads rarely, if ever.

So if BC wins next week Thursday, does that mean we have to buy BC jerseys? :D

I really hope BC destroys the Gophers, and then somehow Ferris State pulls off two upsets in a row for a NC.

Happy quick geography lesson for you

Most of the sugar beets are grown east of the red river in a state called Minnesota and the board meets in Moorhead also in Minnesota.
