The Sharks have blown playoff series in virtually every other way. That would simply be the coup de grace. Accomplishing something seen roughly once every 35-40 years.

At least you don't have to wait 4 days in between games a la the NBA. :D :D Avatar took less time to film than the complettion of the NBA Second Round.

Hate to say it, but the Sharks are overdue to get past Detroit in a playoff series. Detroit wins tonight because they'll want it more, but I think the Sharks may take a 3-1 lead back to SJ.

Time to find out...

Unfortunately, I'm stuck watching the FSPitt broadcast, but at least they aired both anthems.

NO, Habs fans did not boo the Star Spangled Banner.

There was an American flag graphic displayed on the full ice surface during the anthem. I don't think that I've seen that at any US arena.

beginning to think caps didn't choke as much as everyone underestimated the habs...possibly? Pittsburgh didn't look that impressive against Montreal in game 2; Montreal on the other hand really buried their chances.

I know every team had to contend with injuries, but 4 of Montreal's top 6 missed at least 15 games, Markov missed the first 35, and Halak didn't get the chance to to be the number 1 until 2010. That had a lot to do with Montreal's performance during the regular season.

I loved Detroit's announcers trying to justify why an obviously kicked in goal was a "good goal".

If the Sedin goal wasn't allowed, that one shouldn't have stood either. At least they're being consistent for once.

The X here in St. Paul has that in their arsenal. They don't use it all the time, but it is available.
