Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

...Lets Hope NOT.

Let's hope is he. He's a good speaker, would be a great fundraiser and he bleeds blue. He's everything Blake James isn't. AND we'd get a new football coach out of the deal. It's win-win.

Just off the top of my head....James Madison in 2004, Williams & Mary last night...UNH in 2008/09....and UMass in 2006.....That's a minumum of 5 wins blown in the final five minutes, and that's only the ones against Top 10 ranked teams.

KIA Re: little birdie

Would this be the fact that after being invited to rookie camp, darling was the only rookie tender to not be invited to training camp?

I'm sure a couple of beers helped drown his sorrow.:o

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

How is his relationship with Stephen and Tabitha these days?

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

Just got my tickets for opening weekend. Can't wait to see how the boyz have progressed over the summer. Really looking forward to seeing the new netminders. The battle for that number one spot must be hot. Hopefully consistency will carry the day, regardless of who is back there.

While at the Common Ground Fair over the weekend, the Maine Stein Song was being played and I was overcome with excitement, goosebumps and hair standing up. One of the best parts of being at a game is the band. Can't effin wait for the puck to drop and have the Alfond rockin!

Hopefully it will be a battle for the number one spot in a good way. They need to rise to the occasion. We'll have to wait to see Ouellette. I heard he was out for a couple weeks.

Hopefully a battle that will push all of the tenders to step up. What did you hear on Ouellette? Some sort of injury? Wonder if this means he is out opening weekend?

Are coaches able to attend practice this week or is it next? If I remember correctly, they must wait until a week or two prior to the season starting?

He got hurt during dry training. I didn't get details and he would be out a few weeks. I don't remember when I heard but I figured he would miss the first couple of weeks. The ex game will be good for Sullivan and Sirman.

I actually was surprised nothing was mentioned here about it. I don't pay attention to hockey until the season actually starts.

Does anybody know if the "Coach Whitehead Show" Monday nights going to be on the internet this year?

Thanks !

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

they got new lights over the ice a couple seasons ago.

True, but it’s still one of the darkest rinks in HEA. I believe Providence is a little brighter because the walls are lighter and closer to the ice surface but Merrimack is about the same as the Alfond. I don’t know about Vermont, I have yet to visit the Gut.

also carrying maine @ lowell on feb. 19th...

nice of nesn to send a crew to alfon this year....

They don't want the expense of travel. Looks like they're avoiding the Gut and even Providence.

It's always cracked me up (and saddened me at the same time) that the casual fan in the stands can call out what Maine's most likely offensive play is going to be on any given down and be about 85% correct. If John Doe can do it in the stands, most certainly the opposing team's DC can do it in the booth. This was particularly true when we ran that awful two-QB system.

Any updates from the lobster fest?

any funny announcements or news?

I was at a junior tournament, and did not see Kerluke, was he at the lobster fest?
