4 great games - what a way to start the season. Thanks to Suze, Donald, Speedy, Dustin, Jimmyjam, Alaska Hockey, mmf, AKJD, etc., etc. for making me feel welcome all weekend.

I think I'm gonna like it here :D

I would like to personally apologize for Dave Hakstol not showing up to the Friday Luncheon and ruining the weekend of multiple UAA fans. I realize how devastating this can be as you were all so looking forward to hearing from him and he denied you of the privilege. A truly dastardly deed.

So I go on my bike ride on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail as per Suze's suggestion (very nice btw!), and I run across a bull moose. All I can wonder is, where the **** is MacWilliam when you need him?!?!

I got the back-story on that whole situation.

Seems that Hakstol was all ready to attend and on his way up the stairs to the Howard Rock ballroom when he saw Twitch Boy standing there. Since he didn't have any players with him to send up and try to intimidate smack-talking MTU fans, he simply bagged the luncheon and made up the excuse of having to be with his team during the game day skate.

It's a good thing he did too. Because, just imagine if he hadn't been there to see them through their workout. The Susies might not have beaten UAA.

Would you want to be alone in a stairwell with a clarinet wielding hotdog hat wearing weirdo? I don't blame Hakstol at all, you never know what a guy like Twitch might do. That is the second scariest Tech/stairwell situation, coming in just behind being a 17 year old girl alone in a stairwell with Mitch Lake.
