2010 Division III Commitments

Re: 2010 Division III Commitments

The 4th Swede on SNC's roster has been confirmed, Emil Haque, a big forward.
Interesting that SNC has added three big forwards to their roster for the upcoming season: Haque, Joe Perry and Taylor Langford (returning for his senior year).

Add Norwich's third goalie ...

Sean Gerich ... he was 1st Team All State HS Hockey Goalie in Illinois at St. Rita High in Chicago, leading them to the state championship, winning the title game 3-1 before almost 7,000 fans at the United Center.
On the season he went 30-3-3 with a 1.75 goals against average and 4 shutouts.
He is a Rook in the Corps of Cadets ... class 2014.

I know ... it is Illinois High School Hockey ... but the kid put up great numbers, so we will see.

He played a championship game before 7,000 fans and played well. I watched the game on CSN-Chicago. How many times in D-III will he play before that kind of crowd?? It shows he plays well in big situations in front of big crowds. +1 to him.

We all know Sooperstar players who play great in front of small crowds, but when they get to the big stage their knees turn to jelly and their bowels turn to something else.

Will be interesting to watch the development of this young man. Hopefully in 4 years he'll have two things to remember his Norwich experience -- an NCAA ring and a gold bar on his shoulder.

It looks like he was headed for NU all along based on what I see in the HS Newspaper that Norm linked us to.

There's an earlier article that says he was contemplating the Naval Academy or junior hockey . .
