2010-2011 Scores and Highlights - Feb 15

2010-2011 Scores and Highlights - Feb 15

SLU up 1-0 over Clarky, 6 minutes into the 2nd. Sabatini broke the ice.

This is one of the key ECAC matchups this week with serious playoff implications for several teams in the race to the wire.

Big win for the Saints, 2-1 in OT over Clarky . Vanessa Emond was the Hero.

Premature, but Dartmouth chosen, I think, to finish eighth likely will place even four or five in the ECAC. Good coaching maybe a big factor (?) it says here. Who also has more than met this season's challenge?

With six minutes to go in the 1st period in Bemidji, the Beavers lead the Buckeyes 2-0. According to the live box, shots are 13-0 in favor of the home team.

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

Big upset brewing -- Dartmouth up 2-0 on Cornell. Harvard seems set to clinch 2nd though with a 4-0 lead over Colgate.

I was there. Dartmouth wanted it. Cornell looking to Cantabs, beyond-did not (ultimately) perform. Went home on the long ride (southest to start) with a hole in their ECAC, Ivy shoe. Especially on penalty kill. First stanza ALL green. Chippie stuff from Fortino and Cook, I might have pulled my goalie after fourth score, shot whistled by her ear/glove side into goal. Shots 10-1 in period one early. At break were 14/5 but suddenly changed to 14/8 on scoreboard? I told my companions-and for those who were there I was the maniac ON HIS FEET most of the game urging our women to, 'work', that chances for Dartmouth were 40/60 beginning fourth period even at four zip. Halfway through reached and only then reached, even.

Gee, you all ought to get out and see some women's college hockey!

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

Wow, if Maine holds on against BU, and UNH can't get 2 pts vs. BC this weekend (0-0 in the 3rd in first end of home-and-home), then UNH misses the playoffs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hockey East expand the playoffs to 8 next season given that teams 7 and 8 are now competitive given UNH, Maine, and Vermont's recent results.

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

BU with the 6-on-4 extra attacker power-play goal by Tara Watchorn. Now 2-2 with Maine.

EDIT: But BU called for a holding penalty with 2 seconds left in regulation and a 2-minute hit from behind 55 seconds into OT. Maine with 1:03 of 5-on-3 in the OT period.
