For all you doubters out there that don't think PC should be ranked, they have played their last three games without Genevieve Lacasse, playing with two goalies who have each had the first games of their careers (Lacasse has started in the last 57 straight games).

We split with Maine last week (with an uncharacteristically bad 2nd game) and almost tied BU today. It took them 59 minutes to get the win and it was a hard-fought even game most of the day.

The score of 4-3 against the #3 team without Lacasse speaks to the closeness of the game and the teams.

Awesome game by all today, especially England and N. Riley who refused to backdown in net.

Cornell up on RPI 5-1 after 2. Cornell leads the shots on goal 25-12. Game was 1-0 after 1 with shots on goal even at 6 for each side.

UMD and Minnesota tied 1-1 after the first period. Pretty even game. Brienna Gillanders gets her sixth goal, all of them coming on power plays. Her cousin is playing for the Gophers.

Minnesota wins the shootout 2-1, takes a point and moves into a tie for second place in the league standings with UMD. Minnesota led in shots 42-31. UMD was 2 for 7 on the power play, Minnesota was 0 for 4.

USA U18s take back the crown, winning 5-2 over Canada in the 2011 Women's U18 World Championships.
