Nice to see Cat Country and Diva at the Ambassador yesterday.

The Refs had nothing to do with the outcome last nite. It's the same thing every year. The Huskies come out and play as if this game is their national championship, the Cats just approach it as another game. The Cats were on their heels all nite because Tech out skated them.

When you lose twice to a team that wins six games total in '08-'09, you can see which team takes the rivalry more seriously.

Heh, I was saying the same thing two and three years ago when we couldn't score a goal against you *******s to save our lives :D

yeah, some of the officiating was questionable, but I didn't think that made the game. there's questionable officiating at most college games.

I thought NMU took a lot of the play into the corners and against the boards. Not sure how that's going to translate into offense. SOG tell that story as well.

Seemed like NMU thought that being physical was going to get the job done -- lots of hitting.

If Tech had something going, it was that they kept moving the puck off the boards, bringing into into play, and shooting.

And trust me, this is not a team that has a tradition of shooting.

Looks like NMU will be the punching bag of the CCHA again unless they make the needed change

You can judge a ton by one game. For a rivalry game the team played with no emotion. THAT IS ON THE COACH! The GREAT Walt Kyle couldn't pull the team through! WE WILL BE LOOKING AT ANOTHER YEAR OUT OF THE NCAA TOURNAMENT IF WE KEEP WALTER AS OUR COACH!!!

TOSS WALTER OUT! HE IS NOT A CAPABLE D-1 COACH!

I'm not an NMU fan, but honestly, firing your coach after 1 game, especially after the good second half of the season last year, would be simply retarded. I guess us Tech fans have met your guys version of Burnt Orange Husky/John Scott Rocks.:rolleyes:

I'm not a troll. I am just a fan who knows what NMU needs to do to win. If you cared about the team then you would want a competent coach as well. Lil' Walter gave birth to 15-24-2. How many losses are you going to let Lil' Walter create? I want an end to the madness.

I've been calling for Lil' Walter to be fired for two years now. It is obvious what needs to be done to save this season. Walter is famous for leading teams to slow starts, it's looking like this season is going to be another one. If nothing is done, who knows, this team could be looking at an 0-12 start. Sure they may finish strong, but how much longer will we settle for mediocrity. I say the time to become champions again is now!

Haha, you're so cute. Anyone who is enough of a loser to have a name like yours and then only whine about firing the coach in your name is just priceless. Also, whining about firing your coach after the first game of the year is probably something only a person with zero brain would do. No, you probably have to have less than zero brain to be that stupid. Stupid doesn't even begin to describe it. The nice thing about the early season is you can lose a game or to and not have it severely impact you, and use it as a motivator to get your *** in gear and start winning. Come back in December and January when we kick your *** two more times, and then start fussing about Walt ;)

One game is just the start. If Walter has his way with this team, they will soon be 0-12, then 0-13, then 0-14. The madness will never end. A CHANGE IS NEEDED AT NMU!
