2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

What the hell is Gomez doing so far off second base? And why wasn't Delmon hustling around third?

That is why you ALWAYS hustle to score even when it will be easy. Never know what other stupidity will happen.

Edit: that's just bad luck he slipped. Also him trying to go to second was stupid. He should have ran for third to guarantee the run.

Gomez made a stupid stupid play. He had no reason to be off second. You get the run and that's it on that play.

Good to see Delmon was hustling all the way into home.
Amazing to see him on base. ;)

Who is more over-caffeinated, Nick Swisher or Orlando Cabrera?

5 walks and the Yanks haven't paid for one of them. This is why the Twins never beat them.

Surprised that wasn't gone. Harris got all of that.

Odd defensive play by Damon.

If Blackburn had four walks and two hit batsmen, this game would be at least 3-0 Yanks.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

FWIW, the two pitches before the foul were right on the inside corner and not called strikes.

And that tight zone in that at-bat costs Blackburn a walk.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

The strike zone is so small now all Blackburn can do is groove it to get a strike and when he does that they crush it.
