2009 MLB Playoffs

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

Wow Ramirez. Way to blow a DP ball. Then blow getting one out.

Hahahahahaha. Angels scorer calling that a single?

MLB needs to really replace all these scorers with their own employees.

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

You just know the Angels are going to win big tonight and get bludgeoned for the next week, right? At least that's what I'm hoping for.

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

At least this will put my pet theory to the test.

Saito is horribly overrated. His ERA is low because the rest of the staff bails him out. But he can't retire an inherited runner to save his life.

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

If you want to stoop to insults about my height, I can get personal with my insults as well. If you really want to go there.
Eh, you made it personal when I was jabbing about sports last time, but sure, go for the moral high ground if you want.

And jon, red sox, angels.... does it matter that much really?

Ramirez is awful. They should put in Bard too, as been very good at ****ing up games as well. Save the competent relievers for the games where the offense feels like showing up.

No argument. Boston's entire bullpen is horribly overrated. Papelbon and Okajima. I (mostly) trust them, and that's it.

The BePinstriped Ones have actually beaten the Red Sox in recent memory. It makes no sense, but the Angels have your number. That's sports.

I don't agree that they're over rated, but sending out Ramirez and Saito is pretty much Tito waving the white flag. They can do nothing against Lackey tonight.

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

Other than Ramirez and Saito, who is there?

Byrd? Bard? An inning from Wagner every 3 days?

edit: Well I'll be d--ned. Saito retires 2 inherited runners. Kind of. ;)

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

What a terrible call now at third base.

MLB is really showcasing this crew as a collection of bumblers.

Unless Hunter came off the bag and that was the call.

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

Bay really does not have any sort of arm, does he? Regardless, Lowell should have caught that and tagged out the runner.

stoop.... height....

Re: 2009 MLB Playoffs

did anyone hear an explanation of why LaRussa left Franklin in so long last night? gotta feel a little bad for Adam Wainwright, he was absolutely ridiculous, and the bullpen blew it for him again. I would think Franklin had a very short leash.

True, but he looks like a baby with his "They shouldn't allow white towels" whine. There's no crying in baseball.
