2009-2010 T.O.P. Thread

Re: 2009-2010 T.O.P. Thread

15 down 50 to go.....

Immediate Release:

The 2009-2010 TOP is pleased to announce that Transplanted Tiger Fan is the first member of this years T.O.P. Selection Committee. A long time RIT Tigers fan, but now resides where former arch rival to RIT calls home Horseheads, NY (home to the Elmira Soaring Eagles) TTF brings one of the longest runs here on USCHO becoming a member back in November of 1999. While he may only post a mere .33 posts per day, TTF has been prowling the boards and is very insightful and will bring a lot to the smoke filled internet highway when selection day comes. While he may be an Eastern poster, there will be no Eastern bias with this poster. Welcome aboard TTF.

We are still looking for 4 more selection committee members. If you are interested let me know. Selection Sunday (or monday or tuesday who knows) will be sometime in the middle to end of April depending on the nomination process.

As my Daddy once said, my favorite beer is the one that is on sale. Free beer is always good!

See - but that's the thing. There are beers out there that are cheaper than PBR, so why settle for mediocrity when you can get more or less equally disgusting stuff for less money?

50 to go? Are we having a play-in game here, too?

Correct, but as Webb said...we call them "first round games"...

64 vs 65 for the right to face off against the #1 overall seed.

Keep in mind that we also do not have a 500 mile rule. You could be facing off against someone in Oswego one round and then Steven Point the following round. We believe money is just a term, pure and unflawed competition is what it should be about.

Because a bunch of us from CCCP land made the trip to the land of lutefisk and had a great time. As a reward for such faithfulness, the great fans of SNC decided to welcome us with some of the local "flavor" (so to speak). Another fine gentleman, well known to these parts, threw in a a six pack of Point Beer, cheese, crackers, a map, and two pink bunnies.

Such hospitality should not go unrewarded!! Once day when SNC or CSS makes the trip to the land of health care, unrepentant liberals, and fine baseball, we shall return the favor!

Correction: This tournament is about the joys of the poster-athlete. With such a self-proclaimed noble goal, money becomes tertiary, which is fitting as the little known tertiary criteria are essential to our seeding process.

It also helps that our budget is enormous as we embezzled a healthy chunk of the $12 billion that CBS paid to televise the DI basketball Tournament of Posters.

Clear the tarmacs because planes are gonna be a flyin'.

In lesser and poorer news, it appears Ron Fogarty's office is not available as a regional host site this year as he actually needs to get some work done.

We are still awaiting word on whether Chris Lerch's backyard is available once again.

Since TTF took the Pool B slot :D, I think I need to qualify as a Pool C.

I'd like to nominate 1Dukester, he didn't post much this year but I think he's got what it takes to steal a few victories in the early rounds of this bracket.
