It's funny you should ask. I actually went to Bemidji State for undergrad. Moved on to Miami of Ohio for my masters. Then I went for my PHD at BU.
On the weekends, I do college hockey analysis for ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU and have made appearances on the college hockey selection show among others. Sometimes I like to mess with people and say outlandish things like "Look out for Yale!" during the broadcast, even though I know they are not a great team. It's one of my quirks.
So... as you can see, I'm very much qualified to question the validity of the Vermont run ... well, considering the opponents it was more like a walk (cake or elephant, whichever type of walk you prefer) to DC last year. Since 3 of my teams DID make the Frozen Four I really have no reason to be bitter. I only root for BC because I'm a bandwagon fan and thought it would be a good idea to root for them after seeing them make 8 FF trips in like 12 years (and actually beat good teams doing it!) and win 2 national titles. Maybe when Vermont puts a run together like that BC run, I'll jump on their bandwagon (or in the case of when that might actually happen since I won't be around, my great-grandchildren when that generation comes to fruition in, say, the next half of the century?)
During the week, I am a highly qualified doctor in the neuroscience field doing research on how to measure people's IQs by their posts on the internet. It's a cutting edge field right now. Which is why you can trust me when I tell you that your IQ is somewhere between 300 and 400. I am an expert. Trust me. People like you need to submit yourselves to the proper experts so that your true mental powers can be utilized for all of mankind - not just UVM fans on USCHO. You're like a Good Will Hunting type character. Sometimes we call folks like you idiot savants. Others just call you idiots. There's no discernable difference. The only thing that matters is that people like you are misunderstood. And I empathize.
Either way, I'm glad we cleared all of this up. Let's call a truce.
