That just means that Montreal will forget that Ovechkin's coming out of the box on clean ice and will probably get a breakaway out of it.

It's more that some calls that are made (both ways) seem very inconsistent with other calls that are let go. As I said earlier, I don't think either team is the beneficiary of any bias--it's just been hard to see tonight what is or is not a penalty.
Except for too many men, that is. That one's usually hard to miss.

Am I crazy to say that as crushing as that last goal was, I'm not overly worried? Last year, I think it would have been good night. Different team this year. I think the leadership (Gionta, Gomez, Gill) will keep 'em calm.
They just have to keep playing the way they are...and they should be fine. Sadly, I said that after the 2nd period in Game 2...and we all know how that turned out.

Hey Dovah, Les Habs are making it closer than I expected the series to be. I won't be shocked if the Caps win in five, but if Montreal could steal this one it would be nice. I hope the team can play more respectably in the third period than was the case earlier in the series.

Didn't know what to expect given how poorly Montreal played the last 10 days of the seaosn, but they gave Washington all they could handle during the regular season (2-1-1), so I knew they could make it series. They've outplayed them; Washington is just deadly on their opportunities - they cash every one of them.
A win here is huge; if not, it ends Friday.

Apparently being knocked down and colliding with the goalie is a penalty. Even when the person who hit the goalie is actually his own teammate. Sadly, the refs have been pretty consistent about that.
Bruins score on the ensuing PP, but it feels kinda dirty.
