20 years of Simpsons... Some fave quotes

Re: 20 years of Simpsons... Some fave quotes

still showing classics at 10:

Homer (at a counter at City Hall): I wanna register to run for sanitation commissioner. And tell the fat cats upstairs things are gonna change in this town!
Clerk: Okay, but this is where you register as a sex offender.
We need to think real hard, and come up with a slogan that appeals to all the lazy slobs out there.

Doesn't seem that long ago when this episode was a crappy new one.

Did anyone ever count the Sanitation Commissioner episode as a crappy one? I always liked it, the bit with the Indians as they moved the town down the road was hilarious.

I was never a fan of that one.

That was one I thought was lame at the time it came out... but now I find it pretty enjoyable. Season 9 is about when I thought the series was going down hill (at the time) but now I really like it (Season 9 is the last season I own on dvd).

I was a huge fan of Ren & Stimpy when it was being produced until John K left (or was removed). But years later when the dvd's came out I found I could never get back into that show but yet I never tire of watching classic Simpsons episodes.

"This [video] game has all the best marching bands. From the precision footwork of Ohio State; to the lame dead-on-arrival humor of Stanford!"

The hockey episode is on:

Lisa, if the Bible has taught us nothing else -- and it hasn't -- it's that girls should stick to girls' sports, such as hot-oil wrestling, foxy boxing, and such-and-such.

Re: 20 years of Simpsons... Some fave quotes

on now: Bart steals Lisa's newscast, Homer gets a helper monkey

Homer: I'd like a helper monkey, please!
Clerk: Eh, may I inquire as to how you are...differently abled?
Homer: Oh, I'm not handicapped! I'm just lazy!
