Tonight's episode: The Cartridge Family (Homer gets a gun)

Homer: Just give me my gun. [grabs for gun]
Gun Shop Owner: Sorry, the law requires a five-day waiting period. We've got to run a background check.
Homer: Five days? But I'm mad now!
The owner finally pulls the gun away from Homer.
Homer: I'd kill you if I had my gun!
Gun Shop Owner: Yeah, well, you don't.

One of the best episodes of all time.

"Until you decide what's more important, your gun or your family, we can't live in the same house!"

I love the joke that the kids would never find the gun in the vegetable crisper. It's so perfect. In Homer's world, no one ever goes in there.
