As a Clarkson grad, I have seen many a game where the Flying Fickle Finger of Fate screws my team. So why do I have a bad feeling about the Bowdoin - Williams overtime??

Oswego 70 Plattsburgh 58 SUNYAC MBB Final... let's hope the "professional" from NSN learns how to pronounce Oswego for next week's game, unless Brockport or Buff State have other plans... Its os-WEE-go, NOT ozz-WAY-go or OZZ-wee-go or ahh-SWIG-o (although the last example can be heard at the Elks club weekly...late at night...

You should here how bad WPTZ butchers the names of cities, villages and towns throughout NYS.

I wouldn't say "far different". Last year's team had a lot more firepower (121 GF last year, 106 GF this year). This year's team was better defensively (45 GA this year, 66 GA last year). They were 21-3-1 this year. 21-5-0 last year. None of those 5 losses were against a sub .500 team (8-14-2 Tufts this year). Last year they made it to their conference semi's. This year they're out in the quarters. I see them dropping to #7 or #8 in the East and on the outside looking in.

If our boys don't win tonight in a "semi", they are done…season over. I just don't see how any team that drops their own conference quarter-final can get an invite to a National Tournament. IMO…you have to go semi or better to get a Pool C.

Trinity has played exactly two teams that are currently ranked in the USCHO and D3 Top 15…and they are 0-2 in those games. Last year they at least had a one win against a USCHO/D3 (final) ranked team going 1-2-0. Last year they made it to their conference semi's. This year they're out in the quarters. Their strength of schedule is much better. Record in last 25 is 6-1.

those polls mean nothing, their worthless in pool C consideration. Diddly squat. Their RNK is 2-2, they have one of the best SOS and the best win% in the nation. They'll get in

No!

We go through this every year. A playofff game MEANS THE EXACT SAME THING as a regular season game to the committee.

It's all about the numbers ... whether you like it or not.

I happen to agree, but then how can a #1 team in the last public ranking get dissed after one loss? It seems that the Powers That Be DID weigh that one loss heavily.

Norwich 1 - Castleton 0 after one period of play. The Spartans came to play, out shooting the Cadets 9-6 and pretty much carrying the play until late in the period when Norwich scored.
