2001 was the worst in my mind because they handled Potsdam easily both times they played them in the regular season before a tight 4-3 loss and a 7-2 shellacking at Romney in the playoffs. They got run out of the building in the second game and Potsdam could do whatever they wanted. Potsdam did go on to win one of the three games against Plattsburgh but got smacked in the other two.

2006 was pretty rough when we led 3-0 and then Plattsburgh stormed back to win game 1 of the SUNYAC semis...then game two is the infamous bagel incident.

Also last two games ever played at Romney turned out to be losses to Plattsburgh.

Yeah, the manner in which the 2006 series played out was tough to swallow for sure but Plattsburgh is where the SUNYAC title goes through and losing to them in not entirely unexpected.

In 2001 Oswego beat Potsdam 5-1 and 7-3 or something like that in the regular season and got killed in game two and had less than 20 shots on goal, they completely crapped the bed in that one.

FREDDY MAY BLOW BUT...

a 3.25 hour drive turned into a 5.5 hour drive due to the snowy conditions...I was motivated to just get home. Actually had fun at the game last night, despite the outcome. I could not believe how many times Oswego did NOT try and shoot the puck. I swear the shot totals were way off for that game. They tried to set up perfect plays way to much rather then shoot. Even there first goal, I thought they would never shoot as he (forget who) skated slowly with the puck towards the goal line.

Anyway...are you really suggesting to add in 2007 to your graphic there champs? Lets remember exactly what happened that year...Fredonia beat Oswego in OT then went on to defeat a favored Plattsburgh team as well the week after before getting demolished by Middlebury in the NCAA first round. Upon further review we saw that Oswego had 3 losses at that point and got into the NCAA as a higher seed anyway and went onto well...you know

Not that I'm counting my chances here but I'll take a week off if it means getting to play in the NCAAs regardless.

Now...will Fredonia be NCAA ranked???

Beating the #1 team does not automatically equal a top 15 ranking. Fredonia is now 14-12 with a record vs ranked teams of 2-10. They won't be ranked. They don't deserve to be ranked.

I just caught up on all the evenings posts , some funny stuff , .....however the Lakers just got a wake-up call and that is all it was . I would have preferred to keep them sleeping giants........

I don't know if that was a wake up call, ever since the back to back losses this Oswego team has not been the same team as the start of the year. From what I have seen and read the Defense is sloppy and the Offense is trying to be to cute and it has been the same way for the second semester. From Oswego fans that I have talked to and from what I have seen on video and live this is not a team but a bunch of individuals, unlike the 2007 team.

I knew it wouldn't be long before we heard the "well we are already in so winning the SUNYAC didn't matter" speach. The Lakers finished the regular season #1 7 times since 2001 and only have 3 SUNYAC titles, I sense a trend. Toss in the 01 loss to Potsdam and thats 5 times out of past 11 seasons they've bowed out to a lower seed....that...is tanking. I think Plattsburgh has done it maybe twice in 20 years....

That said, everyone seems to be missing a huge point here.

It doesn't matter if Fredonia gets ranked! Plattsburgh and Oswego already have 2 prior wins so it would add a 2-1-0 record to their RNK should Plattsburgh lose next week. Plattsburgh would then be 9-4-1 vs RNK teams instead of 7-3-1. Oswego would be 10-4-0 instead of 8-3-0. It wouldn't have any effect at all.

I guess I didn't realize until I looked at this post, but Plattsburgh tying Elmira instead of beating them is now the ONLY difference between these 2 teams in RNK... wow.

hit the nail on the head SHOOT THE PUCK STOP with the fancy crap, I said this in a post a few weeks ago, they need to shot and crash, both even up and on the PP, not hard to grasp.......that said this may get them ****ed off and who knows what will happens..........ps whats up with HBV and Leimbrock???
