Poor pass resulted in the head being down, but Farnan definitely targeted the head and left his feet to deliver the hit. In my book, that was a 5 + game all day. The phantom offsides that led to the goal was indefensible, though.

Galati was clearly hurt and needed to get off, but you're right to say that it should have waited for Oz to touch the puck. As for Botten, I don't know how you have him on the ice 2 minutes after taking a hit to the head like that, and he responds by flopping down like that... Clearly he was concussed, and yet he continued to play. I question the decision not for any suggestion of deception by Oswego, but rather out of concern for the player's safety...

Lake Forest leads Marian 2-1 in the 3rd. Could be looking at a mini-game there.

Entertaining game tonight at the Stafford to say the least. A couple questionable calls both ways especially the major on Farns... I saw it as Botten had his head down as he accepted the pass at center ice and Farns laid him out. Judging by Emery's reaction I don't think he thought it warranted a 5 if a penalty at all. During the major, I don't know what the linesmans issue was but he seemed to want every faceoff in the Plattsburgh end. He called an intentional off sides on what was barely off sides to begin with.

I'm pretty sure we will see a rematch Saturday night unless Fredonia can pull one out. and I would expect to see Z the rest of the way for the Lakers.

I had a great view of the hit #44 Farnan laid on #16 Botten...Botten had his head down and from the angle I saw (which was perfectly clear) Farnan did not intentionly hit Botten in the head. There was no elbow, nor was there intent to injure. Further, if Botten was hit in the head, while the hell was he back out there shortly after and scoring goals. Plattsburgh was in control of the game up until that point. Too bad because Farnan now has to sit next Saturday too. One more thing, why did it take the officials about two-three:confused: minutes to decide what the do? In my book, a deliberate head shot and intent to injure should be an obvious and decisive call. Just my opinion. Hope to see the Lakers back in Plattsburgh next Saturday.
