Anyone know the SUNYAC tiebreaker rules? Old Jaslow article from 2012 stated it was head-to-head, but the Geneseo parents tonight were under the impression it was fewest losses. I was curious why Geneseo didn't pull their goaltender in overtime tonight. FWIW, WIRY is sure Buffalo is the #2 seed, SUNYAC website shows Buffalo State listed second after Plattsburgh.
Anyone absolutely know for sure???

If that is the case, why didn't Geneseo pull their goaltender in overtime and go for the bye? The loss wouldn't have meant anything to them...
I'm pretty sure that puts Buff state at 2 and Geneseo at 3, meaning Geneseo will play Brockport on Wednesday.

Maybe they were thinking of the game's NCAA tourney implications....where the loss to a ranked team would have hurt them? (if they end up in Pool C consideration)

All I can say for sure right now is that Collins is a stud--puts the sophomore slump behind him in a big way.

And I was the one who lobbied for number two to be inserted into that list.
Originally, the tie-breaker rule was 1,3,4,5 above. I wrote/argued in my column that conference wins should be the second tie-breaker before dealing with goal differentials. The Commissioner agreed with me, proposed it to the coaches, and they voted to implement it.
I'm pretty sure that puts Buff state at 2 and Geneseo at 3, meaning Geneseo will play Brockport on Wednesday.
